The Lebanese Air Force (LAF Air Wing) is the aerial component of the Lebanese Armed Forces, responsible for air surveillance, transport, reconnaissance, and close air support. Established in 1949, it is a small but essential force focused mainly on internal security and support missions rather than air superiority. Headquartered in Beirut, the Lebanese Air Force operates a limited fleet that includes light attack aircraft, transport planes, and helicopters, such as A-29 Super Tucano, Cessna Caravan ISR aircraft, UH-1H Huey, and Gazelle helicopters.
