We thought it would be fun to review 23's Rutt from 2025. This was the first time we saw him.
He was in velvet. Next time we saw him, he was clean as a whistle and massive.
Boy, has this bull transformed. It's unbelievable how much he's grown.
He's surpassed his dad, 22, and he still maintains that youthful puppy dog look.
Here he is from a distance and usually a bull would be dwarfed by his surroundings there
because the wilderness is just so vast. Not this bull. He's that big. He had a successful rut. He
always had cows around and of course there were a few contenders that he had to keep away. This is
why it's important to us anyway to start filming the bulls when they're young because we never
know what they're going to grow up to be and it just so happens that we had a lens on this guy
when he was just a wee two-year-old. Thank goodness for that cowlick that we could recognize him
because there's no telling what they're going to grow up to be. From that little tiny thing
to this, who knew? Even a light little rake made a lot more noise with this guy.
He ran himself ragged though especially trying to keep up with that little cow Julie.
The one with the ear tag. Oh she was such a tease and he couldn't help himself. He followed her all
over the place and then this was the day of the fight. That's not Julie. That's another cow.
She had run Julie off. In fact you can hear Julie in the background walking off
and that's got 23's attention. We'll have none of that. The rut pit was made for her
and this is what went down. That brought in another pair of antlers and that pair of antlers
belonged to grumpy son AGB and they had just fought a matter of maybe in the same spot.
They went at it. 23 wasn't in tip-top form. AGB recognized that. He saw a weak link
tried to exploit it. This is AGB the loser with broken tines but he's really not all that worse
for wear. Stay tuned for part two. Thank you for watching. Please subscribe.
