Sea Otter Hunting in Southeast Alaska ｜ Our Way of Life

For Tlingit people, hunting sea otters is a culturally vital practice that has been part of their way of life for over 10,000 years. Today, it is especially important as growing sea otter populations are decimating intertidal zones and the shellfish that inhabit them, a traditional and essential food source.
