What's going on everyone it is your form expert coach Kyle. Today I'm going to show you how to do
a plate loaded shrug machine. The only thing you'll likely have to adjust is the handles here.
If you're really tall you want to make sure it's not set up at the top or else you won't be able
to get a full range of motion. I typically like setting up right around the middle here and when
it comes to setup make sure your plates are loaded on each side. You're going to walk into the machine
make sure your legs are about shoulder distance apart. From here keep your core tight, your glutes
engaged. You're going to bend down and pick it up just like you're finishing a deadlift keeping
everything nice and tight and this will be your starting position. From here simply aim to bring
your elbows up towards your ears keeping your arms straight at all times. Get a nice squeeze at the
top control on the way down for two to three seconds bring it all the way back up really
making sure that your elbows are as straight as possible. A lot of times people just bend their
elbows and they just rush through the movement and when you do that all you're going to be doing
is just rushing through. You're not going to be doing anything at all but the best way I promise
you you'll feel it so much in your traps is just going nice and controlled squeeze at the top
core tight glutes engaged control on the way down and that's exactly how you do it with perfect form.
So it may seem like a very simple exercise but I promise you so many people end up butchering it
by rushing through the movement loading on six plates each side and just doing some power shrugs
that's going to do nothing for you. Now if you like this form video first link down below click
