It is very rare in my line of business here,
reviewing makeup, that I repurchase a makeup item.
It's even more rare when I repurchase
a makeup item for a third time.
And that is what we're talking about today.
Those tried and true, old faithful products
that I have repurchased on repeat.
Most of these I've bought, no,
all of these I've bought at least thrice, if you're fancy.
Some of them I've actually bought more than that, many more.
And some of these might be some surprises.
Even if you've watched my makeup reviews for a while,
some of these might surprise you.
So let's dive in, shall we?
First up is the In Beauty Mineral Sun Glow.
This swept me off my feet a couple of years ago.
And since then I have used it up, repurchased it,
used it up, repurchased it.
And every once in a while it's sold out
and it's always when I need it again.
I have the shade Fair Medium.
The reason this is so good is because it is an SPF,
a glowy primer, a moisturizer and vitamin C all in one.
And it's mineral.
So it's zinc oxide, 14%, if that's what you're looking for.
It literally has everything I need all in one step
versus vitamin C serum, moisturizer, sunscreen,
putting on a glowy primer maybe.
This does it all.
So I find myself using this in the winter.
I use it on top of a moisturizer
just because I need a little bit more moisture
in the, honestly, spring through fall.
I just use this as my moisturizer.
And so I love this.
It is pretty on its own.
It kind of has a nice glow.
I think it still looks natural though.
It doesn't look too like tin man metallic
if you're gonna wear it on its own,
but it's still, it kind of perfects the skin just a bit.
But then of course it's also beautiful
and plays really well underneath makeup,
which is how I'm wearing it today.
So I am just a fan, you guys.
I cannot stop using this.
I sing its praises to everyone I know in person as well
because it is that, that good.
I feel like it's kind of crazy
that there aren't more brands
that have made this kind of product.
There are definitely like glowy SPFs out there,
but to also have the vitamin C in them,
it also has peptides, blue light protection,
like what, it's got it all.
I could never do this video
without talking about this next product.
And it may just be my most repurchased makeup product ever.
And actually now that I'm, it is, it definitely is.
That would be my beloved Missha BB cream.
Now, this is a K-Beauty brand, a K-Beauty product.
The shade range is not like what we're used to seeing here
if you live in the States.
It is very different.
Part of what I love about this
is that it is more neutral, almost gray toned.
And when I swatch it, I'll show you a swatch of it.
It looks gray,
but let me show you blending it into my skin.
I most of the time just apply this with my fingers.
I think that's the way it looks the most beautiful.
It applies so easily,
like you're just applying a sunscreen or something,
but it is a beautiful medium coverage makeup product.
And that is why this has been magic in a bottle for me.
It also has SPF, so that's just like bonus,
but it has really good coverage,
but my skin looks like skin.
It is one of the only products I have tried
where I can have coverage,
but my skin still looks like skin.
It is remarkable.
So my biggest battle with this is I have the shade 23.
It's a little dark,
although when it's blended on, like I have it on today.
It works.
I've tried 21 numerous times over the years,
and it's just a little bit too light even in the winter.
I could mix them.
That works pretty well too.
However, I recently tried,
and I feel like I have to mention this
because it's in the same world and it is also so good.
The Missha Perfect Cover Serum BB Cream.
So this is just the regular one.
This is the serum BB cream.
Oh my gosh.
First of all, this is also the shade 23,
and I want to show you the shade side by side.
The Missha is definitely a little bit darker
and definitely a little bit grayer.
This one is a perfect shade match for me.
And it again has that same level of coverage.
It's so beautiful.
I have been trying to figure out the distinction
between these products.
Like what is the difference?
Because they're both beautiful on the skin.
I haven't really nailed down what it is.
They are very, very similar.
It's just that this shade works better for me.
And again, I just apply it with my fingers,
medium coverage, beautiful.
So if you are in a rut,
you feel like every foundation you try
is just emphasizing things or it's just a little too dry
or it's just too whatever,
try K-Beauty BB Creams.
They have more coverage
than you might be used to in a BB cream
and they are gorgeous.
And this is definitely, these are my favorite.
So yeah, of these, I have probably gone through
at least one a year, 12, 10 of them,
at least, at least.
I literally just bought, they sell two packs.
I just bought a two pack.
Saved a little money.
Hey, I'll take it.
And bonus points, these run around 12 bucks.
Depending on where you buy it,
there's always sales going on.
They are not very expensive.
So another plug for that.
One of the only blushes I have bought three times,
and this is kind of crazy, is the MAC Glow Play Blush.
If you recall, this was an absolute favorite of mine,
like four or five years ago.
And it's getting kind of a resurgence online
of people falling in love with it.
And I'm so excited about that
because this is such a unique product,
but gorgeous, easy to use,
blurring, foolproof, like everything.
This shade in particular is so natural.
I have owned two of So Natural
and then I've had another color.
I think it's a color they don't even make anymore.
I think they've kind of expanded
the shades they offer recently too.
So I think.
This one is kind of this peachy neutral shade.
I really like it on my skin,
but it's one of those like kind of squishy almost products.
I would consider it kind of a cream to powder.
Like it doesn't feel tacky once it's on your skin at all.
It kind of sets in place.
It doesn't move around.
It's not a slippery blush.
So my favorite way to apply it,
I think the way to apply a product like this
is with a brush like this.
This is from Real Techniques.
Absolute favorite of mine, $4.49.
I just tap it on that way.
You can get plenty on your brush.
I feel like you really can't over apply it
if you've got a shade that works really well for you.
Lasts all day.
Again, it looks like skin.
Now I do have a little highlighter on.
I do have the new Milani.
Oh my gosh, you guys.
The new Milani baked products.
They reformulated them.
Okay, this is the shade number one.
Love it.
Anyway, let me show you again
after I applied it without the highlighter on.
It is just really, really pretty.
It looks like skin.
I feel like as I age, I'm 37 now,
and I know, I pray that I've got a long, long way to go,
but you know what I mean.
As my skin is aging,
I find that products that look more like skin
and aren't quite as full coverage, full whatever,
tend to just look better in real life.
And the reality is like, yes, I film videos,
but that's only part of my life.
The rest of it, I want my makeup to look nice in real life
as we all do, obviously.
So this is one that looks beautiful in real life.
And I would say across the board,
everything I'm showing you,
part of the magic of it is that it looks amazing
in real life.
Okay, this here, this is from Maybelline.
This product's been available for decades, I'm pretty sure.
It's their Lash Discovery Waterproof.
I don't think they have changed the packaging ever.
You know that they could totally repackage this,
not change a thing.
Just redo what it looks like, but don't redo the wand.
The wand is perfect.
And sell this as specifically a lower lash mascara.
It would go viral.
It would do so well.
It is so good as a lower lash mascara.
I am to the point where if I'm putting mascara
on my lower lashes, I am only using this.
I never use whatever mascara,
because I can just be a little bit more precise with it
if I want to be.
You can build it up a bit too.
I just love that.
I'm kind of weird about lower lash mascara.
I don't like it to look too, like too much on me.
And so this has kind of been the perfect thing.
I always get waterproof,
just because I feel like if your eyes water,
whatever, you have allergies, you cry,
it's nice to just have waterproof down there.
But that I've repurchased many, many, many,
many times in recent years.
I think I discovered what my favorite powder foundation is.
And I think I've known it for a while,
considering I've actually used them up and repurchased.
But it's this Makeup Forever one.
This is their HD Skin Matte Velvet.
Their Matte Velvet Powder.
It is velvety, truly.
It has a little sponge if you want to use that.
But I generally will just use my brush.
This is just beautiful.
Now this used to be in, and I don't,
I don't think they reformed it.
I feel like it's the same.
It used to have, it used to be black packaging.
It's just the perfect powder foundation.
If I'm taking the time to do it,
I want it to mattify, obviously.
I want it to add a little coverage.
So if I'm, especially my nose region,
that is an area I really have to powder.
And if I'm not doing just like a loose powder,
this is almost always what I'm grabbing,
because it adds a little bit of coverage,
it increases the longevity of your makeup,
and it is mattifying, but not overly so.
Like you can still see, I've got a little bit of,
like especially on my forehead.
I have no highlighter on my forehead.
You can still see a little bit of naturalness,
natural dew coming through, and this, this is amazing.
So if you are like just in a rut with powder foundation,
but you use it a lot, I really think you would like
that one if you haven't tried it.
My shade is 1R02.
This is so fun.
Chatting about my babies.
I don't remember if I said this earlier,
but I feel like this is one of the most valuable videos
I could possibly do, because I mean,
these are the things that I have just loved
and loved over and over again,
versus like, you know, I'm always trying new makeup,
sharing what's good, what's not, whatever,
but if I like it enough to repurchase it,
I feel like that says a million words.
You know what I'm saying?
Picture speaks a thousand words.
What is that saying?
Anyway, also I just want to take a second
before we continue on to ask you guys to subscribe.
If you get any value out of my content,
whether it's my makeup reviews or my weekly vlogs,
I do every single week, which by the way,
if you're a beauty person, there is beauty infused
through those vlogs every single week.
I would love if you subscribed.
It helps me out.
It helps you see my videos.
Love if you thumbs this video up if you're enjoying it.
Comment below with what are those products
that you are repurchasing on repeat?
I want to know, because that's how we know
they're the good ones.
All right, let's keep going.
So this eyeliner, stay with me.
I feel like eyeliner can be personal.
This is the best eyeliner I've ever tried.
I loved for a while the Makeup By Mario one,
and I still like that one.
This one is better.
It does not budge.
It is totally waterproof.
It stays in the waterline.
That's hard to find.
The Lancome Drama Liquid Pencil.
I've repurchased this on repeat,
and I just discovered this a year and a half ago.
This is, I think, my third one.
Of course, with eyeliner, when you're using it every day,
you do go through it a little bit quickly,
so that's part of it, but it is so good.
I have told numerous people in my personal life as well
about this, like, dude, if you need a new eyeliner,
you have to try this one.
This is their black one, their Cafe Noir.
It's matte, beautiful.
You're able to smudge it, so I kind of fill in the area
as thick as I want, and then I just grab a brush,
and I smudge it a little bit.
I'll wing it out a little bit.
I just think this is so good.
I know they have a brown.
They have a few other colors,
if you're not a black eyeliner person,
but literally, when I had it swatched on my hand,
you guys, I need to wipe that swatch off.
I had it swatched on my hand,
and I was using my, like, Costco makeup remover wipe
I use for swatches.
I was going back and forth for a solid 20 seconds
before I finally got it off.
That is how well this stays.
Now, it still comes off really well and easily
with whatever makeup remover you're using.
However, if you're using wipes on your eyes,
that might be difficult, but if you do, like,
a cleansing balm or cleansing oil, that's what I use,
this comes off very easily.
Well, I hate to say it,
but this is the best concealer I've tried.
It's from Natasha Denona.
It's a pricey one, but if you're just like,
I have tried so many concealers.
I hate them all, whatever.
I really think you will love this one if you can swing it.
Now, I recently did a drugstore,
like, cheaper alternatives video,
and I compared another concealer to this one,
so if you want a cheaper alternative, that's very close.
I'll link that one below.
I can link the video too.
You should check it out, but this one's so good.
So it's the Natasha Denona concealer.
I have the shade N3.
It's actually not a lighter concealer,
and I've realized I prefer that.
I like a concealer that's closer to my skin tone
because I don't always need the brightness there.
Sometimes that almost can age you a bit
because it looks like you're trying to brighten
and, like, conceal something.
I know it sounds dumb,
but when it's closer to your skin tone,
I'm just wanting the coverage.
I want things to look more even there compared to my face,
and that's what getting a shade
that's close to my skin tone does for me,
so that's why I typically do that.
Anyway, it is just magic.
I would say medium coverage.
It is very in the middle when it comes to,
it's not overly moisturizing.
It's not, like, super tacky,
but it's also not super thin and liquidy.
It really is just, like, creamy, easy to blend in.
It stays really well throughout the day,
and I would say medium-plus coverage.
It is gorgeous, you guys.
I wanna give a little plug for this
that I've bought truly on repeat.
This is, you can see how messed up it is.
This is a little makeup eraser pen.
Okay, I like this one.
I've tried a bunch of brands.
This is the most cost-effective one
and the most effective one,
and it doesn't dry out quickly.
Mine's ready to be replaced,
but it's like a little Crayola marker,
but it's got makeup eraser in it, you know what I mean?
So I could clean up a wing with it,
which that's pretty much how I use it exclusively.
Every once in a while, if I get mascara, like, up there,
I can tap it out.
Amazing, and then you have replacement heads
here on the back that you just take that one out,
toss it, and put that one in.
It is amazing, you guys.
It is so inexpensive.
If you are still using a Q-tip, dipping in the thing,
no, no, no, get you one of these.
It will last you a surprising amount of time,
and I will get a lot of use out of the one.
I just kind of wipe it off on whatever cloth I have near me
when I'm getting ready,
and generally it'll stay pretty clean for a while.
Use your best judgment on when to replace it.
Okay, we got a couple more products.
By the way, what's on my lips is just a lip liner.
It is, is this the one I used?
Yeah, Boundless Berry by Makeup Forever.
I didn't have a berry lipstick with me today,
but I wanted a berry look.
I'm just really into berry lips right now.
Anyway, works great.
It's just a lipstick, you know?
This one has been a true blue for probably a decade,
and I have repurchased it over and over again.
The Bare Minerals Concealer.
This is a loose powder.
I treat this, I don't usually use this alone.
Absolutely you can.
It has coverage.
Let me show you a swatch.
You can see this powder has coverage.
It's amazing.
But I tend to actually use it lightly
as like an under-eye setting powder.
So I will go ahead and use my concealer
and then put this on top for extra coverage.
When I am looking extra tired,
I need that extra little oomph.
This is what I reach for.
I don't use this every day.
I don't feel like I need that extra coverage every day,
but it is just beautiful.
It is so unique,
and that's why I've continued to repurchase it.
So good.
The Tower 28 Mascara.
I won't dwell here long.
I've gone through probably 12 of these in the past,
you know, I don't know, four or five years.
It is not for everyone though.
I definitely have heard from a lot of you guys,
like half of you guys absolutely love it too,
and half of you guys are like, I don't get it.
I don't know why I don't like it.
I can get an amazing eyelash look,
a volumized look after just two very quick coats.
It's crazy.
Whereas most other mascaras, I can get the same look,
but it just might take a little finagling,
a little finesse, three or four passes through it,
you know, with dry time in between.
This has just been so foolproof.
There was only one time I got one,
I had one tube of this and it wasn't right.
And you know, now that I'm saying that out loud,
I'm like, there's a part of me that wonders,
like, did they change the formula
and then they realized people were complaining
and so they changed it back, like secretly.
Is that even legal?
Anyway, so I don't know what that is about,
but I absolutely love it.
Let me know your experience with this below
if you've tried it, good or bad.
I'm so curious because this is so good to me
and it's wild that other people are like, oh, I hate that.
I'm like, what?
But the reason, the other thing I wanted to say about this
is it's a little bit of a drier formula
and I realize I definitely prefer that.
I feel like you can more quickly
get the look you're going for and it stays all day.
It's also a tubing mascara.
So it comes off really easily with warm water,
which is really nice, but it stays on really well.
It's almost in the weirdest way,
waterproof for me throughout the day
and that it doesn't crumble,
it doesn't smudge or anything like that.
So obviously a big fan.
This was so fun.
Oh my gosh, if you want to see a skincare version of this,
let me know.
I almost included skincare in this,
but I'm like, dude, that is its own separate video
of those skincare products.
So many of them are affordable too
that I have been buying on repeat for years.
I feel like they're really effective.
Many of them affordable, like I said,
and just all around really good products.
If you're interested in that, let me know.
I can certainly whip that video up here
in the next few weeks or so.
Like I said earlier, subscribe, stick around.
I would love to have you.
I make one beauty focus video a week and one weekly vlog.
I have so much fun doing what I do.
I'm so thankful for you guys
that have watched over the years,
especially, you know, I have to say,
prepping for this video made me very reflective
on just times in my life,
like where I was in my life
when I discovered certain products.
And it was just a really cool
kind of trip down memory lane.
So speaking of, I want to do a part two.
Now we're just chatting, okay.
I want to do a part two to the video I did.
What did I even call it?
Like nostalgic makeup you forgot about.
That was such a fun video.
And I know so many of you guys liked that too.
And I kind of want to do a part two.
So if you haven't seen that video, I'll link it.
It was so fun.
Anyway, all right.
I will let you go, but thank you so much for watching.
I will see you guys in the next one.
Bye friends.
