Hey y'all, welcome back to a new video. Today I'm sharing with you a very productive day in my life. I have some cleaning, a DIY project we're starting here at the house involving the carport and the garage door that we added. I also am going to run some errands, have to do some shopping for some upcoming videos, and potentially share with you my mom's bedroom update. So a lot going on. I hope this video brings you some motivation and inspires you to tackle your day. Thank you for watching. Don't forget to like, comment, subscribe, and let's jump right into some cleaning first before we get this day going. I'm gonna start in the kitchen and unload and load the dishwasher. I did not do the dishes last night before I went to bed, so let me tell you why now that I have to explain myself. It doesn't really matter, but I just want to tell you because I found a show. Now I know that might sound crazy because if you know me then you know I do not watch TV. I don't watch movies. It's very rare if I find something that I can actually sit through and watch an hour of it. The other day we were watching a documentary and I had to skip forward. Like I told Dylan, I'm like, I'm so sorry, like I can't sit here and watch this. Can we like skip ahead to like the details because I'm getting bored. And like everybody knows this about me. Well a friend of a friend talked about the show called Tell Me Lies and I was like, oh check it out. Tell me why I watched all three seasons in two days. How did I manage to do that you ask? Well my friend, um it was freezing cold weather here in Florida and yeah I laid in bed and I watched the show all day long and then into the night up until three in the morning. Not even kidding. So yeah um I really like this show and if that um tells you anything me staying up late watching three seasons in two days, I don't know what it is though. I really like it. And one thing I do want to say about the show is first of all it's not kid-friendly at all. Even the first opening scene is yeah. So just definitely keep that in mind. Also it's very college drama thriller type of show so it's not going to be for everyone. That's the type of shows I like. If I watch anything it has to be drama filled because I get bored easy. But can we take a quick moment and appreciate how beautiful the kitchen looks? Oh my gosh honestly the whole house. Like I have been working so hard at changing little things to really just represent like my style and I don't know I've really been loving it. I'm starting to fall in love with my house again and I don't know if this has ever happened to any of you where maybe like you love your home right? It's your home and you appreciate it but you have times where you look around and you're just kind of like oh I want to change something or I'm just kind of over this look. Lately I have been you know working on little things like that to kind of just refresh my space to make me fall in love with it again and I can confidently say that I am falling in love with my little house again and I just feel like it looks so beautiful and almost very peaceful recently. It's very calming and even like when I'm in the house I feel that way. When I watch the videos back I feel that way like it just screams peaceful and I love that. I really do. but I hope for the best don't know what you want can't you see what is right in front or is there something else that you need cause you might just lead me on please don't take me too far The last place I wanted to clean up before I actually head outside to do some cleaning is my bedroom. So I personally love to open the blinds. Dylan will close these darn things as soon as he gets home it drives me nuts. I want all the natural light please. So I open all the blinds the window or the curtains and then I turn on my lamps. I love the way the lamps look with the trim work that's on this wall. It just casts like beautiful shadows and I love it. So and you'll notice recently I've been keeping my bedroom very simple not a ton of like pillows or decor in there and it's honestly been great. So I definitely recommend simplifying your bedroom. It makes the whole space feel a little bit more peaceful and way easier to keep clean. So now let's move on to the not so peaceful space. Although we have worked so hard on our backyard with all this cold weather lately we have just been piling things up back here that need to go where they belong along with trash and everything else. It's just been too cold. We've started projects and then had to like put a hold on them. So I'm gonna clean up out here since it we're getting a little warmer today and just kind of blow off the porch fix things up. I have to blow out underneath all of the covered area too because the windstorm we had the other day blew so many leaves and everything up under. He's trying to save me. He does this every single time he attacks the floor. He's like mom I'm here for you. It's so cute. Um but then let me talk about you really quick because I have been wanting to order a new patio set. I have been waiting. I'm okay here's the thing. I have two in my cart on Amazon right now. I put them in the save for later because I really love them. They're just expensive and I kind of want to wait until I don't know. Are they gonna y'all think they're gonna go on sale? Probably not huh? Because if anything they're gonna mark up the prices whenever the weather starts getting better. So if I'm gonna buy one I probably should buy one now. But it's just it's so expensive and I just feel like I don't know. I don't know. I mean everything we have now works and functions. It's not like I have to have a patio set. Like let's be real I want it because I want the way it looks. But we just finished up the backyard. So it's not like it all has to come together at once. I'll think about it a little longer and then I'll let you know. And that's what I do. Sometimes I will like add things to my cart. Like if I want something done I'll add it to my cart and then I'll wait and then just see how I feel in a couple days. Because sometimes I can impulse buy and that's always like a great hack. You really want something give it give yourself at least 24 hours okay before you make a decision. And for me I tend to wait at least 48 hours because sometimes that first 24 I can make a bad decision. And then if I wait one more day I'm more likely to like rationalize with myself on if I actually need to purchase this right now. We've actually been paying off some debt. We actually just made a really large or we paid off a large amount of debt this year. And I'm so excited. I actually just did it and then tell me why we had a freak accident and then the thing caught on fire. I'm so annoyed. I'll tell you all about that one day. So I'm running out of time. I started cleaning this morning and one thing led to another. I'm getting distracted. I went outside to get the mop and then I started cleaning up the back porch and then forgot to clean out the mop. Then got the mop clean, got hot, came inside to freshen up like cool off a little bit and didn't even mop. I've been working on everything but what I need to do each. I'm just getting distracted. So I'm gonna pause here as far as cleaning goes and go ahead and get my errands ran before I run out of time. I'm gonna use my time wisely while I have a chance by myself to go ahead and get the running around done. It's kind of hard to bring the kids shopping when I'm looking for specific things. I'm easily distracted. So I'm gonna go ahead and go get all the errands run. I texted my husband made sure that he was for sure picking up the kids and he is going to and have like a little fun story I'll tell you about that. But anyway here is my little outfit of the day to like go run errands. I got this sweater for Christmas. It came with a pair of shorts. Dylan got it from Walmart. It's so cute. And then these pants I picked up from Walmart. They are the gray camo. I'm sure you can see without me having to tell you. And then I got on these shoes. How awkward is that? I can't even whoa I'm not even that flexible. What are you doing? I'm gonna break my back. So I'm running out of time. I started cleaning this morning and one thing led to another. Most of the time I actually all the time I would never be able to leave the house at one to go shopping or go do something during the week because I have to grab the kids and usually all the stores are like the stores that I want to go to are pretty far and with traffic it's it's too risky to drive over there and try to make it back in time. So it's very rare that I get to do this but Dylan's picking up the kids today after school and they're really excited about it and I wanted to tell you why really quick before I take off. So on Wednesday I had to take my daughter out of school early for like an after school thing and then my husband had to pick up my son. Well he planned on picking him up with the truck so Caden went to school and told all his friends like my dad's got a big truck and he's got a loud speaker and it sounds real good and you know he was kind of bragging about daddy which is I think so cute. So anyway um came to pick up time and Dylan was running a little behind so he just pulled in with his work truck. He didn't have time to run home and grab his truck and Caden was walking out with his friend and he was like not disappointed but just kind of like oh dang my dad drove his work truck and not his real truck. So it was just kind of a bummer and Dylan was like I'll make it up to you and is going to go pick them up today after school. So I thought it was really sweet um because you know like when you're a child like that's a big deal to you especially when you're bragging about something and then like your friends probably thinking oh you're full of crap. So I thought it was sweet I just wanted to mention it but anyway I'm This one has beautiful colors and I like that you could pull like blue this um kind of like dark beige color. That rug actually inspired an entire makeover which is going to be so much fun to share with you and I actually finished it up so you'll see that video in a couple days but I did end up redecorating the family room slash office. You guys it's beautiful. It's absolutely beautiful and so much fun. I cannot wait. You're gonna love it. So um now I'm actually kind of giving you a little sneak peek. I ended up buying quite a bit of stuff and I got an amazing deal on so many things. There were some things I was adding to my cart by the way that I did put back so I just want to make that clear. I do that sometimes. I'll fill my cart and then I have like that moment of panic like oh I didn't put too much so then I start putting things back. I had to mute a lot of this because I didn't realize it at the time but the music was too loud and I got copyrighted. I know it was annoying but it's fine. I was just kind of pointing out different things and talking about them so sorry I had to mute it. So I found all kinds of good stuff and then I was just kind of browsing around the store and I saw this really beautiful collection of little Easter bunnies. So if you are someone who decorates for Easter definitely check out Ross. They had some cute stuff. I personally don't. I just I feel like it's just one of those that I don't feel like is necessary. I do like more spring decorating and I do have a couple bunnies I pull out that I've accumulated over the years but I don't go all out for Easter. Um it's just kind of a waste of money in my opinion. Oh don't hate me for saying that. Look it even smells good. It does doesn't it? Excuse me I just burped like three times. It smells like concrete you know. I didn't paint that one. I think you brought it down an extra but there was chlorine on here though. Yeah yeah she sent me a picture. Yeah he scraped it all off. Cool. After I left my mom's I ran home unloaded the truck then we got ready and went up to my family's property to have dinner with everyone. It was really nice. We just kind of hung out by the fire and talked and the kids went on and played. It is so beautiful and so relaxing. Into the vase I was showing. Oh my golly. It's so big in here. It's a nice tent. It looks like there's someone sitting under there. Okay this is what we're working with. We're gonna close this side in. I'm gonna fix this side, paint it, fix all the trim so it'll look like one. Once this is done we have some trim to go here on the inside of the garage door so there won't be a gap there. We just wanted to wait to do that before or make sure that we painted first before we put that on. Funny. I love how you're using a Dewalt drill with the Milwaukee gloves. Because I thought you were gonna go to the edge of this. No. I'm just here for you babe. You're doing a great job. I know I can do it. Oh good thing it's right here. I do babe I just sometimes I don't want to do. Like opening the pickle jar. Step one done. All right y'all I am gonna close out today's video here and start a brand new one so stay tuned for that but I just wanted to give you like a little recap on what happened with the carport. We did not finish it up clearly. It's not exactly what I was hoping for you know but it's fine. We're gonna fix it up. I still have to do like the wire, do the stucco, trim it out and I think it'll look better than it does now. It's just one of those things where whenever you're adding or closing in something that's not part of the house it's gonna look a little odd at first until you like complete it. So it's just one of those things it's gonna take time but then what I thought I would do is like once it's done I thought about doing like a trellis on the one side so we can like kind of vine a trellis around the garage. I think it might make it look not so awkward like you know what I'm saying I think it'll make it flow. I have kind of like a vision in mind we'll see as time goes on but that's the plan but honestly that day that we worked on the carport like closing in the little garage area it was so cold and actually it started off as like okay it was cold but then as the wind started to pick up we had like a crazy windstorm that brought all this cold weather and it just got to the point where like I couldn't function anymore. I was literally stiff and I thought that I wanted to live in a colder climate. I always like tell Dylan like we should move up north because I hate the heat especially in the summer when it's like a hundred and some degrees like it feels so brutal here because it's so humid but I can't live in the cold. I've come to find out that I cannot function in this. I feel almost like I can't do anything because mentally I know how cold it is outside so I feel like I can't accomplish nothing. Why is that happening to me? I don't ever remember feeling like this before maybe it's the age thing like I'm starting to get a little bit more stiff I don't know but I've been in bed watching tv and like chilling around the house like doing nothing for the past two days Saturday and Sunday nothing maybe I just needed a break or maybe I'm just I don't know maybe I'm just blaming it on the cold weather because I needed to break who knows but anyway that's a little update on what happened and why we kind of stopped that project but we'll work on that some more and I'll share as time goes on it's not something I'm just like trying to hurry up and get done I don't mind working on it when little bits and pieces here and there it's not like it's a huge rush by any means but something I am excited to work on is some decorating videos I have not like really decorated decorated in a while I've done like little rearrange with me's and little decorate with me's here and there but nothing like this this is going to be like a full transformation in the office slash family room so very excited to share that video coming up soon along with a project that I'm going to help you guys on so there are a lot of entries for me helping you design and style your space I don't even know who to choose I've already kind of took a couple of the photos and I've already been playing around with some ideas and like brainstorming so I may even share two projects in one video just because of how many entries I've gotten I don't feel like I'll ever be able to get through everybody but I want to so I think I might do two in the upcoming video I think we'll just see we'll see how it goes when that when I start like filming and stuff like that how long the video ends up being so um yeah lots of stuff coming and my mom also got the flooring for her bedroom in um she sent me some photos so I'll include them here so you can kind of see where she's at so she got the plastic laid down she got the floor she's like I'm letting the floor acclimate to the weather and then she put a new fan in too so she's got some fun updates happening there she said today they're probably going to put the flooring in um so I'll keep y'all updated on that too but anyway thanks for being here don't forget to like comment and subscribe and I'll see you in my next video bye y'all
