You guys, it has never felt harder to get out of bed than this morning.
It is pouring rain outside.
It's 54 degrees, but it feels like 41.
Even for us, that's cold.
One thing California weather is going to do is give you whiplash, but it's fine.
It's a gloomy little day, but it's still going to be a good day.
What is up, you guys?
Welcome back to my channel.
Welcome back to another vlog.
I'm actually so excited for this vlog because I have some fun things happening in the next
few days.
Basically, the main thing happening this weekend, in two days to be exact, is that I'm going
to be turning into a godmother.
It's my niece's baptism this Saturday, so I've sort of been preparing for it this week.
I already got my outfit, which I will show you guys.
I'm getting my hair blown out, I'm doing a new little treatment.
Another reason why I'm so excited for the next couple of days is because I so desperately
want to fix my winter uglies.
And the winter uglies are basically when the gloomy, cold weather is just making me feel
a little gross.
So what we are doing the next few days is fixing my winter uglies.
Sometimes all it takes is a little pampering here and there to get you feeling right.
I want to feel my best, look my best, and that is the goal.
I told you guys in my last video that I had booked myself a lash lift and tint appointment,
and that is today.
So it's lash lift and tint and eyebrow wax all today, and then tomorrow I have my blowout
appointment at Drybar with Mia, of course.
Okay, you guys, this is a top that I got from Aritzia a few days ago.
I actually got it as a set with some dress pants the same color, but of course because
I'm literally 5'1 and a half, they're way too long for me, so I had to go get them altered.
I'll be picking those up tomorrow.
I'm super duper early to my lash lift appointment, I have a bunch of time to kill, so I decided
to stop at a little coffee shop.
I did bring my book.
This morning, I started this book, Lock Every Door.
I have been going through such a bad reading slump the past few days, and I'm sick of it.
I have so many really, really good books ready and waiting for me to finish them, so I feel
like there's only one way and one book to take me out of that reading slump, and that
is a thriller book, and most importantly, a Riley Sager book.
You guys, at the beginning of this video, it was raining, it was gloomy, it was cold.
However, right now that it's like a week later, it literally could not be a more perfect day.
To top it all off, the daylight in the evenings is getting longer, which you guys know just
gets me excited about life again.
I want to have fun, I want to enjoy these kinds of days, and one of my favorite things
to do in this entire world is go to concerts.
I was actually looking at tickets on SeatGeek because there are so many amazing artists
either on tour right now or going on tour this year.
This is actually a really cool moment because I have literally bought my tickets for pretty
much every single concert that I've gone to on SeatGeek, and now I'm so thrilled to say
that SeatGeek is sponsoring this vlog.
I feel so confident saying this because I've literally used them for years.
They make the process of getting tickets so easy and so stress-free.
SeatGeek has over 35 million downloads, and they are the number one rated ticketing app.
There are over 70,000 events listed on SeatGeek.
I'm literally seeing all of these really cool events, like Pitbull is literally on tour
right now with Lil Jon, Coachella is happening, Ariana Grande is going on tour soon, I'm so
excited about it.
There's also Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Lady Gaga, there's just a lot to choose from.
Plus the US is hosting the World Cup this year, it's literally coming up in just a few
months, and you can find tickets on SeatGeek to that right now.
Olivia Deen is actually coming to LA in July, so I was looking at tickets for her concert,
and this is my absolute favorite part about SeatGeek, they do this thing where they actually
rate your ticket.
They'll give it a rating from 1 to 10.
The green dots mean good, and the red means bad, but it shows you the rating right here,
10 being the best.
They basically rate it by how good of a price you're getting, and how good the seat that
you're sitting in is.
Also, every ticket is backed by their buyer guarantee, so if you are looking to have the
best night ever, maybe you wanna go to a comedy show nearby, a sports event, or you wanna
go see your favorite artist in concert, SeatGeek has your back.
You can also use my code CARLA, which will get you 10% off your SeatGeek tickets.
I have literally used a creator's code every single time I've bought my tickets on SeatGeek,
so I'm literally so excited that now I have my own code.
Definitely take advantage, get 10% off your SeatGeek tickets by using my code CARLA.
I'll have the link in the description to download their app, and that link will automatically
add my code to your account.
Get your tickets, get some money off.
Thank you so much to SeatGeek for sponsoring this portion of the vlog, and for the countless
of concert tickets that I've gotten with them.
Okay you guys, I just left my lash lift and eyebrow appointment.
I absolutely loved everything that we did.
My eyebrows look great, my lashes feel great, but I don't know if it made that big of a
difference with my eyelashes.
Like, they look really good, they look really curly, they do look really really pretty,
but I kind of thought it was going to make a little bit of a bigger difference, but maybe
it's because it was my first time, I will say, for an everyday kind of thing.
Like, just to wake up and feel put together, I do think these are going to be great for
that.
Also, the owner who did all these services was the absolute sweetest.
But yeah, I'm curious to see how I feel when I wake up with these tomorrow.
For not having absolutely anything on my lashes, like I didn't curl them, I didn't do a thing,
they do look really good.
I feel like I didn't really talk to you guys yesterday after my appointment, but I literally
was just running around all over the place trying to get a bunch of little errands done.
Also, I have family visiting for the baptism, so they're staying here for the next few days.
It's been a crazy little week, but it's been a good one.
Okay, I'm going to read a little bit more of my book.
It's still kind of early in the morning, so I think I'm just going to take it easy.
A little update on my lashes, I think I'm obsessed with them.
I have literally no makeup on right now, and I feel like I just look awake, but I actually
really really like them.
I was also, I don't know if I told you guys this yesterday, but the esthetician that I
went to, she told me that she's going to start offering Korean lash lifts, which I am so
so curious about.
So in a few weeks, I think it's a total of six weeks that I have to wait before I go
back, but I really want to try that and then just see which one I prefer or if I just prefer
my own lashes themselves.
Also, you guys, I feel like I forgot to mention this, but something that's slightly stressing
me out about tomorrow, which is the baptism, is that the ceremony is at 9 in the morning.
It's also a 45 minute drive from my house.
The cherry on top is that the godmother and the parents, we have to be there half an hour
early.
So I'm like trying to do the math of like, what time I wake up, what time I start getting
ready.
It's not, it's not happening.
And I also just don't know if this is just me, let me know if I'm not alone in this.
My makeup does this thing where it does not look good or feel good in the morning.
I will prep my skin the exact same way, I will use the exact same products, I will do
everything the same, but whenever I try to do like a full phase of makeup early in the
morning, it looks good.
My face looks dry, it looks cakey, but I literally do the exact same thing.
I also don't even think I can have my coffee that early because then my stomach hurts.
It's too much.
You guys are seriously like my video diary right now because I feel like I'm just dumping
on you guys.
But another little thing stressing me out is that I had to order a pair of black heels.
After going through so many on Amazon, going through every single review, I found the perfect
ones from Amazon a few days ago.
Guess what I did?
I added it to my cart, and then I think I got a call or got distracted.
In my mind, I literally thought this entire time that I had placed the order and that
they were on their way.
I never placed the order.
They were in my cart this entire time.
However, I'm considering myself lucky because I noticed it yesterday, so it still gives
me an entire day to find a solution.
I placed an order for these black heels, and it said on there that it could be delivered
today from 2 to 6pm.
I feel like it's going to happen, it's going to come in time, hopefully.
You guys, I have to show you the cutest little thing.
The makeup brand Say Beauty sent over a package, and look at the little makeup bag that they
sent over.
I'm obsessed with it.
They sent over their lightweight setting spray, their hydrating lip oil in shade Play.
That's gorgeous.
Then we got their illuminator in shade Rose Glow.
I absolutely love this product under my makeup.
We got a little powder brush and two liquid blushes, this one in shade Chili and shade
Lady.
They're like cute little mini blushes.
This is an absolute disaster.
Let's clean it up.
Getting ready with like a super dirty and cluttered vanity is honestly like the opposite
of inspiring, so this just feels a lot better.
Okay you guys, it's so much later now.
I'm literally in the dark.
I don't know what I was thinking, but I booked my dry bar appointment for 6.30pm.
It's currently 6.09pm, I've been here for 10 minutes already.
I just wanted my hair and this blowout to be as fresh as possible for tomorrow morning.
Also really quick, I went to the dry cleaners before this, and I picked up my Aritzia pants.
I know you can barely see them, but they're here.
They look amazing.
They fit great.
They literally took off like four inches.
They did that so quick.
I went two days ago and today they were ready.
And to top it off, as I was leaving my house, guess what package got here?
My heels arrived right on time.
They're literally just a simple pair of black pointy heels with my pants and the outfit
that I have.
You're not really going to be able to see much, but I just needed like the pointy part
of it to show and to have a little bit of a heel, but they got here right on time.
I don't have to worry about this anymore.
Outfit is good and picked up.
The heels arrived.
We're about to get my hair done.
Everything is so far so good.
I'm hoping that after this hair appointment, I can just go home and go to sleep because
I'm literally going to be up at like 545 in the morning tomorrow.
And I really, really, really don't want to feel like a zombie, so I'm hoping to get as
much sleep as possible.
Before I left my house today, I started the show, it's called A Love Story on Disney Plus
and Hulu.
It's the show about John F. Kennedy Jr. and Caroline Bessette.
I know about their story and I know that it obviously doesn't end in a happy way, but
I have been so curious about this show.
So I was like, I'm just going to watch the first episode and see how it is.
It is so, so good.
The 90s vibes, the fashion.
I've only seen the first episode, but it is absolutely amazing.
I know it doesn't look like it, but I just got the best blowout of my life.
She basically gave me the most volume in the entire world.
The only thing is that we did not brush it out.
So my hair looks a little overwhelming with the curls and everything.
It's going to fall really pretty, as long as I don't touch it, she said.
