Painting Tutorial in English | Peony

Peony is one of the most beautiful flowers with multiple rows of petals and gorgeous color. The famous one featured in Chinese painting is the Luo Yang type. It was a hybrid flower cultivated in Luo Yang, central China.

There are different species, different color and different ways to paint this large flowers. The only thing you need is a larger brush with mixed hair that contains more water.

Material used:
Paper: half-ripe Rice paper 38cm x 38cm (半生熟宣卡紙 )
Yellow color 藤黃
Indigo 花青
China red 大紅
Crimson red 曙紅
Rouge 胭脂
