Peeps! Big news this week out of Busch Gardens Williamsburg that we wanted to take some time
and share with you today on an IOM Geek News and Rumors video. So before we get into the big news,
which we kind of already spoiled in the title of this video, I wanted to talk to you a little bit
about McDonald's. Yeah, oddly enough, McDonald's has a Loch Ness Monster Meal available for you
to purchase if you live in the coastal Virginia area. The Busch Gardens Loch Ness Monster Meal
is really kind of intended more as a family meal or if you're just very hungry. It includes two
cheeseburgers, 20-piece Chicken McNugget, and two medium fries for about $17 and comes in a cool
Loch Ness Monster Meal box. Now, they actually did this back when Pantheon opened. They had a
McDonald's meal that I think was the same meal, but pretty cool little tie-in if you are in the
area and want to just kind of grab some grub. There is a McDonald's not far from Busch Gardens
Williamsburg. Okay, so now let's talk about what we really want to talk about, which is that Busch
Gardens in a TV commercial has revealed the Loch Ness Monster in motion for the first time beyond
the concept art that we've seen previously. The most iconic name at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
is about to resurface. The legend of Loch Ness Monster lives on at the world's most beautiful
theme park. Membership as low as $14.50 a month. So at the very end of that commercial, you'll see
the newest design of the Loch Ness Monster in motion. Looks really cool, a very updated look
from what it previously was. You can actually see the original Loch Ness Monster animated
at the beginning of the video, and you can see the the new CG Loch Ness Monster at the end of
the video. Now, one of the things that I want to take a minute or two here is to kind of get into
speculation as to the nature of this video. Now, speculation, again, may come true, may not, who
knows? But what I think we're looking at here is actual video that is going to be used on the ride
of the Loch Ness Monster. You know, we have been told in press releases and in kind of, you know,
communication with Busch Gardens that we will come face to face with the Loch Ness Monster.
And I've got to imagine that, you know, even though we would all love some type of giant
animatronic head at the end of the tunnel during the Loch Ness Monster, I don't think that that's
what we're in for. I think what we are actually in for is the video that you see at the end of
this trailer is actually the video that we will see at the end of the tunnel of the Loch Ness
Monster ride. It's a very short video, which kind of lends itself to the fact that you're
really breezing through that tunnel very fast. So, you know, a giant animatronic Loch Ness Monster
or head may not be conducive for something you're really only witnessing for a second or two.
And so I think what we may be seeing is that in the Loch Ness Monster, there is a tunnel during
near the end of the ride, where historically you were able to see like a light up Loch Ness
Monster, like the body would light up as you, you know, flew by. And at the end, you'd see a head
that was really just a, you know, an image lit up that you could see. I think what we may be
looking at here is that that will be replaced with a screen and perhaps a high definition
view of the video that's revealed in this trailer will be shown there instead as you drive
through the tunnel. And that's why the video is perhaps so short, because that's what you'll see
in the tunnel. And, you know, kind of furthering the speculation, maybe we'll see some lighting
effects, like we saw in the Loch Ness Monster Sighting Center, you know, how it projected kind
of like a, an underwater vibe. I think we may see that lighting effect in the tunnel, leading up to
the giant screen that will show that brief video of the Loch Ness Monster as you fly out of the
tunnel. That's purely speculation. We don't know. We will all find out together when Loch Ness
Monster opens up for previews in the next few weeks and to the general public on its grand
opening on May 10th. So what do you all think? Do you think we're going to get more than that
inside the tunnel of the Loch Ness Monster? Do you think we'll get less? Do you think I'm on the
right track? What are you hoping to see when the Loch Ness Monster opens up in May? Well, you know
we will be there to share our experiences with you. But until then, leave your comments down below.
