How I Built a FLOATING TREE Aquascape

Viki takes on one of her most ambitious projects yet: creating a “floating trees” layout in a compact 60P aquarium. Using Dragonscale wood, Dracula stone, and a mountain of glue, she builds a three-part structure designed for depth, stability, and a natural sense of scale. Once the hardscape finally holds, she plants the tank with Helanthium species, crypts, Anubias, Bucephalandra, and delicately placed weeping moss to soften all the glued joints. After a month of growth, the layout comes alive—lush foreground, cascading moss, and a tiny school of least rasbora bringing movement to the scene. The setup runs on a full ADA system, keeping everything clean, stable, and algae-free.
