Princess Kate's Radiant Maroon Look Shines in Rainy Powys! William Joins for Heartwarming St David's Day Prep
Princess Kate's radiant maroon look shines in rainy Powys.
Hello and welcome back to Royal Insider News,
and today we have a heartwarming story straight from Wales.
Just ahead of St David's Day on March 1st, Prince William and Princess Catherine
made a special visit to Powys, the largest county in Wales
and the one with the highest number of volunteers per capita in the entire UK.
This visit was all about celebrating community spirit,
resilience and the incredible people who make Wales so special.
Princess Kate absolutely stole the show,
beaming in a stunning head-to-toe maroon ensemble described by many as burgundy beauty.
She rewore a chic Alexander McQueen coat paired with a matching blouse and knee-high boots,
finishing the look with that signature radiant smile.
The colour tied perfectly into Welsh pride, echoing the red dragon on the flag,
while both royals proudly wore daffodil pins, the national emblem of Wales,
in honour of St David, the patron saint.
Their day kicked off at the Hanging Gardens in Llanidlows,
a wonderful community hub focused on sustainability, art, creativity and building resilience.
William and Kate met local volunteers and residents,
heard about inspiring projects and even watched some metal forging,
showing real hands-on interest in the community's efforts.
Despite the rainy Welsh weather, the couple didn't let it dampen their spirits.
They made an impromptu walkabout in Newtown, stopping their cars to greet cheering crowds,
including excited schoolchildren waving Welsh flags.
One adorable moment, Princess Kate played rock-paper-scissors
with young fans right there on the spot.
She even pretended to be scared when a little three-year-old roared at her.
Pure joy and connection.
Later, they headed to Oriol Davies Gallery to view artwork,
including pieces created by children and young people supported by special awards.
They wrapped up by meeting a group learning the Welsh language
and celebrating local volunteer champions at Hafen Iarafon Cultural Hub.
The visit ran a bit over schedule because they spent extra time with the public,
classic William and Kate warmth.
This outing highlights the deep bond the Prince and Princess of Wales share with Wales,
their titles since 2022 and their commitment to shining a light on community heroes.
With St David's Day just days away,
it's the perfect way to honour Welsh identity, service and pride.
