New Olight Olantern Review Rechargeable 360 Lumen Lantern
The Olight O'Lantern, let's check it out.
Olight's been producing really high quality lights for over 10 years. In fact, I carry
an Olight for my EDC every day for the past eight years. We've done a lot of tests on them. They're
just high quality. They have really bright lumens. And then they went into the weapons lights,
which they have done an incredible job and even light laser combos. Now they've come out with
their O'Lantern. This is a small little lantern for different purposes. Of course, for camping,
you have power outages, or just for fun where you want a light and you want it portable.
These are really good, high quality little lanterns, and they just have a nice little
weight to them. They're rechargeable and they get up to 360 lumens. And in today's world,
it's great to have different light sources, especially those that are portable. Now the
O'Lanterns come in three different colors. We have the moss green, we have the red wine,
and we have the basalt gray. Right here at the front, just press and you have 30 lumens of light.
Hold and press. Now we have 120 lumens of light. Hold and press, and we have 360 lumens of light.
And light is your number one security tool, whether it's a flashlight, a weapons light,
or it's a light that will light up your camping trip, or in case the power goes out, you have
light. And I want to thank O'Light for sending these lights for this test and evaluation.

Now lanterns fit a different role in the light world. Of course, you have your flashlights,
you have all kinds of different weapons lights and different things, spotlights. But one of the
about a lantern is that it lights up a tent at night if you're camping, or even a general area,
and it brightens out. It lightens up a room if your power's out. It's much safer than a candle
and so an open flame. So it kind of gives you a nice safe way to light things up.
And then with today's technology, the lumens really brighten up and you can see a lot better.
So I think it was really smart for O'Light to come out with the O'Lantern.
It sits nicely on a table. It has kind of sections that are rubberized here,
this whole bottom section. And so it sits stably on a table or whatever surface you're using.
And then you have a small little handle. So you can hang this wherever you want to,
you can run something through it. I mean, there's a lot of different options that you can use to get
light into a general area. The body is made from polymer all the way around it. The top is
rubberized coated on top. And again, right here at the bottom, we have an aluminum ring that goes
around the center. And then your hook is rubberized as well. Now, one of the things about this little
hook, I wondered because it does come out and down. And so one of the things that I was doing,
I had a tarp set up. I had some paracord that was coming through and I was able to actually hang
this on the paracord with that little hook. And so that was, to me, really kind of ingenious
because I didn't even realize it until I got into the tent. Now, when you first get your light right
here at the power button, you just press and hold for about three seconds. And then the light comes
on for the first time. After that, you can just press it and the light's on. It's a nice diffused
light and it will give you a 360 all the way around. The lens itself is some kind of polycarbonate.
And so it's going to be scratch resistant and it's going to hold up well, better than glass.
But to go through your modes, just press and release, press and release. And again, guys,
this gets up to 360 lumens. It is really bright. In fact, honestly, I would keep it probably
at the 30 lumens most of the time. And it does run for 80 hours on 30 lumens with one charge.
And speaking of charging, you have your charging base at the bottom. I can take my magnetic cable,
which is included, put it on, and then it actually will sit. And then I can plug this
into any USB source, battery power bank. You can keep this running for a long time,
even if your power's out or you're in the middle of the wilderness. I mean,
this gives you a lot of options. But this light has a feature that I thought was really cool to
add. And we're just going to take off our top and it just turns and comes out. Take out your bulb.
How easy this is to take out. They're your connections. And then they have the flaming
module. And so you take it and just go ahead and screw it down. All this is aluminum on the inside.
Go ahead and return our little cover. Now, when we turn it on, we have a flickering flame.
This is a very low light. It's very mood setting. If you're sitting around a picnic table with
friends outside, this would be a great way if you're having dinner with your significant other.
It just gives you another feature that I think is just really super cool. And it does flicker
like a fire. But again, guys, this is so much safer than any kind of fuel that you would have
for a standard lantern or again, even candles. I mean, it really, and it lasts a lot longer.
80 hours on the low mode. I mean, that is phenomenal. And then again, just turn it off.
This does not have different brightness settings. It's pretty much what it is each time.
So we have our flaming module going, and then we have the 30 lumens with the regular light.
And you can just see the difference. You're going to get a lot more light,
ambient light that's going to come out. But this again, is going to be more for mood setting.
Now, buried inside is four 3.7 volt 18650 batteries. They are rechargeable.
They're going to give you a lot of runtime and you can recharge these batteries over and over.
The weight is 12 and a quarter ounces. It's 5.25 inches in height,
and it's about two and a quarter inches in width. And guys, that 12 and a quarter ounces
gives this just a little bit of heft that's nice. It's not too heavy. And of course,
most of that is the batteries, but it just gives you a nice weight. And to be able to
toss in your charging cable, this is a great little package to take on the trail
or keep in your emergency preps. It's IPX4, which means it's waterproof up to one meter for 30
minutes. And if you'll notice, it does float. So that way, if you drop it in the water,
you can find it. Now, these are impact resistant up to one meter, and I actually dropped it at about
two meters, but I wasn't filming at the time. But honestly, we're going to be giving these away,
so I didn't want to just tear them up. But guys, we have done so many tests, impact tests,
on Olight flashlights. They just hold up extremely well. The Olanterans run $79.95
on the Olight World website. If you use suit00 using the affiliate link down below in the
description, you get 10% off. And guys, this is a great item to have for your emergency preps,
to take camping, again, just to sit outside on your patio at a table, have this nice light going,
even with your flaming module, or if you want light to read from,
or if you need to really boost up the power. I mean, these things are super versatile.
Guys, having a portable light source is more important than ever. Being rechargeable, again,
it just makes it so easy to keep this light on. And again, you get a 10% discount using suit00
with the affiliate link down below in the description. And we really appreciate Olight
for sending these. These are great little lights. Be strong, be of good courage.
God bless America. Long live the Republic.
As my bedside light. And it's much... The legend of Sleepy Hollow. But here we can
see the standard lighting. Oops. And then here we have the flaming, whatever that is, the flaming
flame. Felix likes her lighting.
