Hi there, I'm Hoang, and I'm from Diorama Aquascape, welcome.
I'm sure you'll feel the same way I do, completely enchanted by an aquarium setup
like this.
It's just so mesmerizing.
Honestly, I used to know nothing about aquascaping and thought it was really challenging.
But once I had the chance to dive into it, it quickly became a part of my life.
Watching healthy fish swim around, feeding them, and enjoying the stunning aquarium scenery,
it's such an amazing gift for the soul that this hobby brings to us.
Just look at how adorable they are.
The overall vibe of a small aquarium is absolutely amazing.
What do you think about having one in your home or right on your desk?
Are you still thinking that aquascaping is too difficult?
Well, today, I'm here to show you how to set up an aquarium with some super simple
steps.
Let's get started.
Today we're focusing on a low-tech fish tank.
No CO2, no fancy equipment, just simple and effective.
This is the special layout I'm using to set up my Betta fish tank today.
This right here is moss ball, simple, yet awesome.
First I'm going to attach it to the gaps in the rocks.
And to do that, I'm using aquarium glue.
Let's get to it.
Just glue them onto the rock gaps wherever you think looks best.
It's all about your style and what feels right to you.
Moss balls are super tough.
They thrive even in non-CO2 setups, and their color is absolutely amazing.
Make sure to cover most of the layout with moss to create a lush, green forest vibe.
Having a pre-designed layout makes setting up your fish tank so much easier, especially
for beginners.
It's a total game-changer.
Depending on the layout and style, we can plant a variety of plants with different colors
to match the vibe we're going for.
Anubias is a super popular plant in the aquascaping world.
We're planting it sparsely across the layout to add a lush and dense look.
To make sure your plants are securely attached to the layout, use aquarium glue.
Anubias is also one of those plants that don't need CO2 and grow super reliably.
It's tough and perfect for any setup.
Rest assured, setting up and enjoying an aquascape tank is not as hard as you think.
We're here to share everything, from the basics to advanced tips, so even beginners can get
started with confidence.
Bucephalandra is another beautiful plant that grows strongly even in non-CO2 tanks.
Adding this to your setup brings more variety to the plant life in your aquarium.
Setting up an aquascape tank with a pre-made layout makes everything so much easier.
It's like taking care of a dog, super simple and totally doable.
Now let's install the pump.
It's the heart of the sand waterfall, the heart of our entire fish tank.
Once the plants are in and the layout is complete, it's time to place the layout into the tank.
Next, we'll add a layer of substrate behind the layout.
The substrate is the main source of nutrients for your plants.
Now adding a layer of fine river sand at the front will make the entire layout look as
natural as possible.
And there you have it.
We've finished setting up today's tank.
Super simple, right?
Let's double check everything one last time before adding the water in.
Choose the right filter for your tank.
For this 28 liter, about 8 gallon tank, I'm using a filter with a flow rate of 300 liters
per hour.
Are you ready to be amazed?
It looks amazing, right?
Using large grain white sand creates such an awesome flowing water effect.
Now let's see how our tank will look after some time.
Isn't it amazing?
To keep it looking this great, the care is super simple.
Water changes and tank cleaning every 3-4 days don't take much time at all, especially
when you think about the value this tank brings.
Let's give a warm welcome to our betta fish as it joins this amazing tank.
Don't forget to neutralize the water and balance the temperature before adding your fish.
This helps prevent any shock to your fish and makes it easier for them to adjust to
the new tank.
This is the moment I absolutely love.
A big welcome to your new home, little one.
A few small fish and shrimp will make your tank come to life.
Plus the shrimp help keep things clean by taking care of any algae and debris.
Now let's take a moment to admire this amazing tank.
Worms are like a feast for them.
Let's give this beautiful fish a name that matches its charm.
Drop your suggestions in the comments below.
Now take a moment to relax and enjoy this beautiful, serene moment with the tank.
