The Coral Triangle, a vast marine area encompassing Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, is
the epicentre of global marine biodiversity, making it a dream destination for scuba divers.

and that's where you'll find one of our latest partners, the luxury dive resort of Wakatobi.
Hi all of you wonderful scuba divers out there. Welcome to the Scuba Diver Magazine channel,
your favourite place for the latest scuba diving news and gear reviews. Yes, we are working with
Wakatobi Dive Resort, which is a renowned luxury scuba diving destination, celebrated for its
pristine coral reefs and exceptional marine biodiversity. Wakatobi is located in southwest
Indonesia within the Wakatobi National Marine Park. This remote location is within the Coral
Triangle, an area known for having the highest marine biodiversity in the world. Access to
Wakatobi is facilitated by the resort's private charter flights from Bali, ensuring a streamlined
and convenient travel experience from all around the world, no matter where you're coming from.
Wakatobi was founded on the principle that discerning divers would gladly visit and
support a resort which offered more than just the basics. Wakatobi combines an upscaled diving
operation exceptional service to its guests with a reef conservation program, which in guaranteeing
the pristine quality of the reefs for those guests, delivers more sustainable income and
development to support the local communities. As far as weather and diving conditions,
Wakatobi enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures all year round. Generally speaking,
they have two seasons. They have the easterly winds from June to October and the westerly
winds between December and April. November and May are usually those kind of transitional
months. July and August see a slight increase in the wind and the sea ripples somewhat,
but the visibility is still fine. The weather in these months is a little bit cooler than the
months on either side, making it a really great time to visit for those who prefer to sleep without
using an air conditioning unit at night. If you really want to maximize this, you can book an
ocean bungalow on the South Beach to enjoy the nice breeze. Water temperatures typically range
from between 26 to 30 degrees Celsius, which is 78 and 86 Fahrenheit, making it comfortable for
just all sorts of diving conditions. You don't need too much exposure protection here. Visibility
is consistently excellent, offering, well, often exceeding 30 meters visibility. The area is well
known for having very mild currents, making a great location for divers of all different skill
levels, but local guides will help to recommend dive sites according to your skill level and the
tides. When you talk about remote diving locations, people often think that you'll have like Spartan,
resources, just like a shack, but Wakatobi has gone the other direction and has been specifically
made for scuba divers to have anything and everything catering to air, nitrox and rebreather
users, as well as snorkelers and free divers. And if you like to travel light, they of course
offer a full range of premium quality gear for rental, including regulators, mask, fins, dive
computers, BCDs and torches and whatnot. So if you don't want to bring it with you, you can just
hire it while you're out there. At Wakatobi, they offer advanced nitrox diving in all oxygen
concentrations. CCR divers with Trimix certification can take advantage of the heli air diluents and
bailout gases. Advanced nitrox or extended range divers desiring multiple nitrox mixes for faster
decompression, please bring your certification cards to obtain nitrox gases up to 42% plus 100%
pure oxygen for deco stops at six meters and shallower. Wakatobi's Private Dive Experience

with gear stored in numbered baskets for convenience so you don't mix your gear with
someone else's. The Pelagian is Wakatobi's dedicated liveaboard dive yacht. It offers

more remote and pristine dive sites. It's designed for discerning divers. The Pelagian provides a
