Cristiano Ronaldo sent off at Fratt & Tartt. Look at that space down the middle, but there's quickness down. Ronaldo in the central role that he enjoys. Wes Brown, lots of space for Rooney. Scholes, Ronaldo, so dangerous in this position. Ronaldo, looks like a pinball in there. Fratt & Tartt flying there. Ronaldo, Nani, Ronaldo. James thought about coming, Ronaldo's quick for him. Cristiano Ronaldo, what a finish, the finish of a centre-forward. It's yet another goal for Cristiano Ronaldo, 26 for the season, within the first ten minutes, 1-0. What about the pass? What about the little bit of football from United? What about the little pass from Nani? Watch that lovely little touch. I tell you, he does well, he's at a horrible angle, he does everything right, he takes his time. Where am I gonna put it? Love the little ball through from Nani, nobody's gonna catch Ronaldo because of his pace. Well, that's a great start. Well broken up. It has been such a positive attacking start from United, you can feel there was a goal coming. That is brilliant, that, and the ball, oh! I thought it was good. Ji-Sung Park. Carrick. Oh, Ronaldo, a bit of space from here, he must feel he can score every opportunity, was he taken? That's a great bit of play between him and Rooney, great bit of play. Wayne Rooney standing there more out of hope than expectation. Will they keep it down? Or has he got enough room to get up and over? I bet he might keep it down. Here he comes. Oh, genius of this man! What a hit, David James stood like a statue, and already United are two up, both from Cristiano Ronaldo. Well, you look at David James, you hold your hands up and you say, unstoppable. Unstoppable. I thought he might have kept that low, he doesn't. Even I don't know what he's gonna do. That is tremendous, that. That is tremendous. Look at the power. Oh! Different class. He's come and watched him on his own. I almost say plans, imagine just going straight out of the window. There's Park to Ronaldo. Oh, through to Park, good vision. Oh, just that little fraction. He does, Ronaldo in the centre. Rooney, Ronaldo, Rooney! Oh, dear. Nobody there. Park, Ronaldo. White shirts following him. Back to Park. David James is trying to sort his wall out, but there's nothing he could have done about it last time. No, and it's further out, just some down on top of the goalkeeper in case the goalie gets a hand to it. What is the magician gonna produce this time? Oh, James had to make the save. Portsmouth this season in the Barclays Premier League. Scoles, Ronaldo. Control there, Ronaldo. Takes on Johnson, away by Kapp. Where's Brown? Brilliant. Brown, Rooney, Ronaldo. Park's in here, out comes James. Read it well, the goalkeeper, you have to say. Yeah, good goalkeeping that. Yeah, well-disguised pass from Scoles. Oh, Ronaldo, it's not gonna be a hat-trick, is it? Oh, it's a good challenge from Johnson. Yeah, there should have been a bit of support there, Cristiano. There should have been somebody alongside him just in case. What a great ball that is from Paul Scoles. He needs somebody alongside him just to play that off-tip. Portsmouth, but they're not really going anywhere with it. So quick-eyed United, that's why. Ronaldo. They're so quick-eyed, yeah. Look, five red shirts going forward here. Oh! Rooney was nearly in. Oh, back to Park. Park goes in, Ronaldo is offside. He's offside, Ronaldo. Oh, that was good football again, I'm not so sure you could... You had to be caught off there, Cristiano, did you not see along the line? Looking for Nani, brings it down well. Is he gonna hit one? He finds Ronaldo, Rooney's in the centre. Good clearance. Decisive header away. Oh, lets in Ronaldo. Nani's up with him. Ronaldo takes on this, Dan. Here's Nani. Nani still going on to his left foot! Oh, if he hits the target he scores. Rooney alongside him, screaming for it as well. Oh, he's not happy there. If he hits the target it's a goal. Nani. Ronaldo. Is there another sting in the tail at the end of this first half? Ronaldo with a few party pieces. Scholes, Nani. Ferdinand. The tail have done some chasing, Portsmouth. Ronaldo, direct running at the heart of that Portsmouth defence. Can't get the ball off him. First with a calm finish, and then with the most majestic of free kicks, which David James could do nothing about. Manchester United at their free-flowing, dazzling best. What a half of football at the interval. Ronaldo going through the middle again. Just glides away from Campbell. Carrick. He was going to launch a 50-yard ball there, but instead finds Ronaldo. Oh, Rooney and Ronaldo linking brilliantly. Ronaldo. That's a sure... It's Ronaldo. Free kick, surely. Ronaldo stayed down here. Still down, Ronaldo. Looks in trouble. Portsmouth have put it out of play, and Ronaldo... Wondering why he didn't get a free kick. As long as he's alright, that's important. Rooney goes in there, wins it back. Oh, he scuffed it. He's human. I thought Campbell originally fouled Rooney here. I think he just holds him off. Look at Rooney. He's not going away with that. That's behind Cranchi. United can break Ronaldo. Oh, outstanding. Look at that. MD wide, MD wide. Anderson and Rooney up with him. MD wide. Anderson, onside. He'd love to score a win, Rooney. Davis, header, goes straight to Rooney. He'll put him away this time. I thought he was going to put the ball the other side of him. Here's Ronaldo. Oh, that's a great ball to Rooney. Here comes Park. Oh, and blocked by James from Nani. Portsmouth are going to make another substitution in a moment. That's not a close thing for United. Ronaldo's threaded ball, Rooney. Park in there. Double save from James. Kept that off him. He's made 50 yards. Ronaldo, Nani. Further hands there. Oh, dear me. Couldn't quite reach Park either. It was looking for a tap in there. Well, what could the score of... Oh, he won't want to come off, Rooney. You can bet your life on that. And that man will want a hat-trick as well. He'll be annoyed. Not bad when you can make two substitutions like that. What a... Swerving viciously. He'll be thinking, that's what he meant. There's a dynamic duo. Do you think they'll accept now? No. The thing is a 2-0 thrashing. That was it. United go back to the top of the Barclays Premier League. And once again, he's the hero. Cristiano Ronaldo with both goals in the first 15 minutes. The first a neat finish after a good link-up play with Nani. The second...
