I'm Lola.
I'm Lola's dad.
That's my dad.
Hi Lola's dad.
Very good.
I like it.
So I'm guessing you come from a musical family.
I do.
Yes.
What are you going to be performing for us today?
First, I've got to get some family members.
Okay.
Yep.
You ready?
Can you come in?
Okay.
Hi.
Bye.
Love you.
Nuh-uh.
Wilson Phillips?
Hi.
What's happening?
Oh, this is so cool.
Wow.
Isn't it amazing?
Hi.
Are we here?
Also, look at that jacket.
Are we here?
It's amazing.
I can't believe this.
What is the relation here?
Mom.
That's my mom.
And that's my aunt.
My sister.
So it's a family affair.
I don't know how to proceed right now.
Are you ready guys?
Yes.
Here we go.
You might know this song.
Okay.
It sounds familiar.
I know this pain.
Why do you lock yourself up in these chains?
No one can change your life except for you.
Don't ever let anyone step all over you.
Just open your heart and your mind.
Is it really fair to feel this way inside?
Someday somebody's gonna make you wanna turn around and say goodbye.
Until then, baby, are you gonna let them hold you down and make you cry?
Don't you know, don't you know things will change?
Things will go your way if you hold on for one more day.
Can you hold on for one more day?
Things will go your way.
Hold on for one more day.
Great song.
That's so good.
You can tell that is a thing with family.
It's like everybody is genetically designed to just sound good together.
Right.
The tones.
Blood blend.
We love singing with Lola.
We love it.
I love it.
But we love Lola by herself even more.
I would love to hear Lola by herself just to know a little more about you.
Good.
Well, I've got my tissue stuffed in my bra, so I'll be over here.
What are you singing?
I'm singing Rainbow by Kacey Musgraves.
This audition, I think, is really gonna push me.
It's out of my comfort zone because I am used to singing with my parents and with my family.
I'm just excited to grow from this experience and push myself.
When it rains, it pours.
But you didn't even notice.
It ain't raining anymore.
It's hard to breathe when all you know is
the struggle of staying above
the rising water line.
Well, the sky has finally opened.
The rain and wind stopped blowing.
But you're stuck out in the same old storm again.
Let go of your umbrella
because, darling, I'm just trying to tell you
that there's always been a rainbow
hanging over your head.
You've got everything you need.
There are certain points that I would give you.
When you're singing the lead, hold the story out longer.
Could have been the nerves, but you were kind of getting to the end and just cutting it off.
Yeah.
Just hold it. Your voice is there.
Thank you.
Just tell us a story.
The tone and the pureness and the quality of your voice,
that's a perfect song for you.
But this competition is going to require you to belt, too,
and kind of let loose a little bit,
filling up the room a little more and using your dynamics.
But you got a really, really beautiful voice.
Thank you.
Yeah, you have an honesty in your voice and in your presence.
I want to see you own your talent
and everything that you have to offer because you have a lot to offer.
And it makes me really excited to get to potentially bear witness to that.
If I'm on this show, I will push myself.
That's why I want to be on American Idol.
I want to grow. I want to push myself.
Yeah, find your artistry. Find your lane and own it.
I take all this to heart.
It's a yes for me.
I'm a yes. Yes.
That's three yeses.
You're going to Hollywood!
