I was like, I don't know who invented Cruella de Vil. Question. From Cruella to Spider-Man, you've been able to bring some iconic stories to life. What has been your favorite part about that? My favorite part about that is... Well, the thing that's interesting in both Cruella and Spider-Man, and this is the only time I've ever had this experience, is that both of those characters, the character of Spider-Man, which I obviously didn't play Spider-Man but got to be in those films, and the character of Cruella, they're internationally known, which is something that I've never, you know, in any other movie I've done, it's like people all over the world know who Spider-Man is or who Cruella de Vil and 101 Dalmatians, or who they are. So that's really cool. It's cool to know that, you know, it's a character that's known worldwide. True or false, Lady and Tramp make a cameo in the original film of 101 Dalmatians? I'm gonna... true? True. I didn't even... I didn't know that. I didn't know that. I need to look out for them again. That's pretty cute. And the question for you is, if you could act in another Disney live-action movie, what would you choose? The Little Mermaid. Oh, I love The Little Mermaid. It's so cute. I love it. I loved it. I know. I totally agree. I love it. And if you have reddish hair at all, you grew up wanting to be The Little Mermaid. Okay, my turn. Okay. What was your favourite part of filming Cruella, and did you take any inspiration or advice from Glenn Close's version of Cruella? My favourite part of filming Cruella was... I mean, the costumes were so amazing that it was pretty hard not to be very excited every time I got to wear a new, really insane dress, especially in the scenes that are kind of the past, the present, the future, like the garbage truck dress and the one that goes around the car. And as for the Glenn Close version, to be honest with you, I made it a point not to watch her version before we were filming this movie because I didn't want to be doing any type of, you know, like bad impression of her version of Cruella de Vil. I would never be able to touch her version because it's perfect. So I just realized I needed to make my own version of it. What two words does Cruella de Vil stand for? Oh, this is a hard one. I... what two words does... I don't know. I... bold and bad? I think they mean literally her name because it's saying here that it's Cruel Devil. Yes, Cruel Devil, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cruella de Vil. Which scene was your favorite to film? Oh, OK, this is easy. My favorite to film was the one when I'm on the swing. Yes. Because I had to do it and like the first take I was smiling and we had to redo it because I looked a bit too happy. That was definitely my favorite one to film. Oh, that's so great. You're so great in the movie. You're just fantastic. Oh, this is quite a good one. OK. The lyric from 101 Dalmatians, Cruella de Vil, Cruella de Vil, is she doesn't scare you. No evil thing will. Yes. If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will. It's not easy because I got quite hard. OK. I know, yours were... you got pepper. I knew all of those. That's wild. Did embodying Cruella influence your own style in real life? There always tends to be a little bit of overlap in real life at the time I'm filming it. And so I definitely did get some of those creepers, those shoes, you know, like the kind of platform black shoes. I did have some of those and I was wearing those a lot. I do think it kind of bled in a little bit. But now, I don't know. I wear a lot of black, so maybe. But not, you know, I'm nowhere near as fashionable or as over the top as Cruella is in my real life. What about you? Did you feel like you were dressing a little more Cruella? I think so. I now wear... I wear DMs to school. You do? I thought it was like, well, I want some to school. And so I do. And they squeak. They haven't broken in yet. Quite... still quite... in the corridors. Yeah. That's great. I love it. Are you going to go see the movie in theatres with your friends when it comes out? Yeah. My school, they're... we're having a school trip and we're going to the cinema.
