Powerful Storm Brings Flood Threat to Southern California

Southern California is bracing for a powerful series of winter storms set to bring heavy rain, mountain snow, and dangerous conditions starting on Monday.

Forecasters say the first storm could bring one to three inches of rain in coastal and valley areas, and two to five inches in the mountains, by Monday evening. Flooding, mudslides, and debris flows are expected in areas including downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, Burbank, Santa Monica, and Long Beach.
