So there were 293 of these built. Really? This is the rarest car in the whole collection. I did not
know that. That is awesome. Worldwide shipping is available on this cream puffer. What a great
day to be alive. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Runs hard. Wow. Outstanding. Grab your cup of
joe and let's go. I got my cup of joe. You guys ready to go? We're ready to go. Steve,
welcome and thanks for being here. You don't see Steve on Coffee Walk very often because he does
most of our hot shot stuff. We had to talk him into this long haul. Don't worry. Rarely does
anything ever go wrong. We got three of our rigs today. We're going to go rescue eight cars and
these are great cars that a family curated over the last 36 years but they stopped curating them
25 years ago. So you do the math Sean. Yeah. They've been sitting for between 25 and 36 years.
So our plan is to go to Dodge City, Kansas tonight. Have a great steak. Get some rest. Get
up early in the morning and go to Satanta, Kansas tomorrow morning and load up eight really good
special cars. Here's just a little lead in. The reason we brought Big Blue, our big forklift,
is it's all-wheel drive. It's heavy duty. It's diesel because we got to pick up a 76
Cadillac El Dorado convertible. That's been sitting for 25 years. Ouch. Two great Mustangs,
mid-year Corvette, two MGs and a T-bird convertible. So some great stuff that needs to
be rescued, needs to be back on the road. You guys watch this whole episode. Get a pot of coffee or
grab your cup of joe. Make sure you watch till the end and let's go. Well there's our first 500
miles down. We're at Dodge City, Kansas. It was a smooth run. We were in the middle of nowhere and
it was the middle of nowhere all the way here. Now here we are in the middle of nowhere.
It was in the middle of nowhere all the way here and now we're in the middle of nowhere. It's
actually great. Beautiful farms, ranches, cattle and lots of oil. Hydro. It's really easy to unbox
and set up. So what Hydro is all about is part of the whole health, which I've been involved with
for about five years now. My health is well in Stocker City. You don't put the work in,
you're not going to get the work out. Some of my favorite things to do is walk, swim,
but that is controlled a lot by the environment, especially living in Texas. With Hydro that's
never affected. It's something you can do every day. You don't have an excuse not to do it. It's
designed to reconnect the body with how it's supposed to move. 20 minutes of rowing engages
two times more muscle groups than cycling or running. So I'm trying to get Zach to pay attention
to that, even though he's very young, but maybe the next 10 or 15 years his joints might hurt
from running the marathons. I think it's great, but when you're on the machine you've got what's
called hydrometrics and it tracks your performance every time you use it. There are three different
machines. I chose Hydro Origin. Now I'll tell you what, and yes I'm going to say it, this could be
the holy grail of fitness. It works 86% of your muscles, engages your arms, legs, and core. It
relieves stress and gives an endorphin rush. Hydro's Black Friday deals are live. Right now you get
$550 off the Origin, $200 off the Wave, and $200 off the Arc. And make sure to use my code
COFFEEWALK for an extra $50 off your order. This might be one of the coolest finds ever.
We are literally in the middle of nowhere in Santa Claus, Kansas.
James!
That's heavy right there. That's a heavy boy right there. Oh my god. You call me to this.
I knew it was gonna be a long day. Oh it's gonna be a long day.
1992.
He just kept putting them in the in the seats.
All right, where do we start? How about we start with Cadillac? Because
this is the one that's going to find us the most. Yeah. All the stuff along the walls first.
Nice try. I'm just glad you kept them up.
We might need some tires. Well, I know that when I was here,
Rob, and we have these these tires did air up on this car. They'll air up. Yeah. I have space in
there. Yeah. Check this out, Zachary. That is Texas. Look at that. 1990. So this is not gonna
be right. So 76 is the last year of the Eldorado convertible. They made about 14,000 of them. So
they're not rare, but they are very desirable. Crazy heavy. And this is the largest cubic inch
motor to that day. Right, Steve? Yes, sir. 500. Big cubes. Big horsepower. They're fast. Front wheel
drive. And they're incredibly hard to move when they don't run. That's why Sean's here. And he
just smiled. Wow. Look at that interior, Hymek. Wow. Red, red, white. Wow. This is a cool color
combo. You know what? I only took half a shower this morning, so I'm just gonna go ahead and
finish. Hey, that's Irish spring. He's literally just white. That's my dad's deal. He says to keep
Irish spring soap, and then they keep some ice out of them. Because I came out here and I was
like, why is all this soap? And he just keeps some ice out of them. This car is gonna be the
death of you guys. Well, you're part of that. Look at that. That is absolutely stunned. James,
you got to see this. Come on. Look at this door panel. Look at the foam wood.
That's amazing. It looks like the couch in your house. It does.
So one of the things that got my attention the most when we were talking on the phone was
the fact, not only you guys picked every one of these cars, the cars you liked was,
you said they were not rusty. That's right. My dad did not like rust buckets.
So that's the biggest thing we fight. And we'll buy anything dead or alive,
but when you get something that's rusty, man, the peanut gallery does not like that.
Right. I totally understand that. All right. Now, T-Mobile convertible.
Is this a 390 car or 428 car? This thing is 19 feet long.
Is it really? Well, it's as long as the excursion. And my dad chased this car for quite a while,
Dennis. There's a guy in Elkhart, Kansas that had this. Okay. And he had a 64 and he had this 65.
And my dad begged him for the longest time to buy it. And he also had a black 57 T-Bird.
And then he ended up getting a 57 E-Bird that Al Unser had owned. Wow. And my dad kept trying to
buy these T-Birds from him. And that's the only one that he had let him have. So this is 64, right?
No, it's 65. It's 65. Okay. All right. Look at that. Dennis needs to wake up.
So this is a 390 car. What's cool. So the tilt away or tilt pop steering wheel, you can see
it's over in that position, which is really cool. The other cars that got that were the Shelbys.
We've got some flat Tyros. Yes, it does. Okay. That wasn't going to be a challenge.
Obviously this is MGTD. This is a 53. And I believe it's got 15,000 miles on it. A little
over 15,000 miles. The North American market was the biggest market for these. They actually sold
more here than they sold in Europe. They sold 20,000 of these here. And one of the biggest
reasons was they drove really well as they had rack and pinion steering. Even though very low
horsepower. And this is a 1250 CC car. And 53 was the last year. Pretty cool. I'm not going to get
and check all the numbers at this point, but maybe. What I do want to see is the tag. Yes,
it's a standard TD. Could have possibly been a Mark II. Very honest car. Wow. 15,800 miles.
So there was this guy that put this huge box body collection together and kind of screwed the market
up. Oh, really? Yeah. I don't know who that was. So this is a GLX, right? That's correct.
So we got a GLX, not a GT. I didn't realize. Five speed was fantastic. 17,000 mile car.
Man, these cars drive great. I still like them. They're fun cars. They are really fun cars.
That's cool. I imagine that's the MGA, right? This is the MGA.
So since you have no badging up here, obviously it's a 1500 car, so it's early.
It's not a 1600 or 1622. This is one I don't know much about. I mean, my dad and I,
we bought this in Wichita, Kansas on a car trip. And had a chance to buy a 429 Cobra jet Mustang.
It was blueprinted. My dad wouldn't buy it. He said, you'll probably wrap that thing around a
tree. So he wouldn't let me have that one. And we ended up coming home with this.
He said you bought a base model MGA. Yes, exactly.
So I mean, this is one of the best body styles that MGA ever did, in my opinion. I mean,
you went from the T-Series to that. Huge leap, huge improvement. Went from a 1250 to a 1500.
Beautiful cars. I've literally had hundreds of these. It's nice it's got wire wheels on it,
so it does have an option. Got the knockoffs, yeah.
I love the radio delete plate. Gauges are correct. She looks like a good, honest car.
And I don't know, I've heard that part of the interior, like the door panels,
you may know more about this than me, Dennis, that part of the crating when they ship these
over from overseas, that they use part of the crating to make the interior panels.
I don't know. I heard that. I don't know. I have not heard that, but these are not
the right door panels. They're not? Okay.
But that would not surprise me. Okay.
So 57 MGA, 1500, wire wheel car. All right. Well, this has got a custom car cover.
Yeah, this fellow, we bought this one out of Ambulance.
I had a North Platinum car. It's a black on a black and white top.
And this guy had this door cover made for that custom made for this car.
So this is what literally got me into what I've done my whole life, Mustangs.
So early on, from when I was 13 years old, all the way until I graduated from college,
that's pretty much how I paid for college, was buying and selling Mustangs.
So 65, until I ran off the bat for multiple reasons.
But you know what, John, you were spot on on all your stuff. This is a factory Raven black car.
It's not crazy rare, but very desirable to have a black.
So we've got power top. You can have power top,
manual top, got AC, console, automatic, 289, A code Raven black, which is to me,
a big deal because I love black cars. Power steering too. So a nicely optioned car.
Surprising to have power brakes, but man, these cars are all like really honest cars.
Like you said, you guys look for good stuff. Yeah.
There's not a huge following for 73 Mustangs. I personally really like the body style, but Corvette.
Yeah. This is a fun one too.
Is this Nassau blue or trophy blue?
Don't get me lying, Dennis.
So it is 976 Nassau blue.
Trophy blue is pretty unusual.
Got kind of an interesting story about this car.
Okay.
My dad and my grandfather and I went to Denver, Colorado to buy cars one weekend.
And we took my mom's 80 citation, which my dad hated.
And we go into a hotel and this car is sitting out front.
My dad says, well, I'm going to talk to that guy in the morning.
And so he and his wife came out the next morning.
My dad was waiting when he came out and he said,
what are you planning on doing with this Corvette?
And he goes, well, I'm actually here to take it to an auction.
And my wife's kind of wanting a sedan.
And he goes, well, I got this sedan right here.
So he ends up trading in the parking lot.
My mom's 80 citation for this Corvette.
Wow. That was a great trade.
Yeah.
Which now is worth zero.
Right. Exactly.
And so of course there's three of us.
We have to find another ride to get home.
So that's when we end up buying the other Mustang.
Really?
To get home.
So was mom happy or sad?
Uh, she was a little sad when she got home because she ended up getting to drive a 78 van.
Five grand tax.
So it's going to be the lowest horsepower you could get.
That's okay.
Look at that.
It looks very correct.
Okay.
Last but not least, I don't think this is the most valuable car in the collection,
but it's one of my favorites.
You too?
Mine too.
Okay.
It's a fun car.
70s color for sure.
Right?
The greens and the browns.
73 convertible, which is huge.
So that should tell you something.
Then we come over here and we've got a Q.
It's fantastic.
So that's 351 four barrel.
Yep.
And this car is a four speed.
77,000 miles.
Boy, it doesn't look like it's got that many miles on it.
So disc brakes.
I can see that from here.
Pull up the hood and see what other options it's got.
But you know, what other options does it have?
Do you know?
I've forgotten, Dennis.
I don't really remember.
So there were 293 of these built.
Really?
This is the rarest car in the whole collection.
I did not know that.
And one of my favorites.
And this is one I'm going to drive the most and probably the hardest.
You just can't beat up a 5.0.
Right, right.
5.0 GLX.
Okay.
Well, sir, I've seen enough.
Okay.
How about I just pay what we discussed on the phone?
I'm not going to beat you up a single penny.
Okay.
Now, can we get all eight of these on the trailers in eight hours?
What do you think, Zach?
No.
Well, here we go.
Here we go.
So we just walked the trailer and found out, what was our measurement on the trailers?
101 with big blue on there.
We have space.
And then what do we have in cars?
113.
So we're 12 feet short, which is a car.
All right.
We're 12 feet short on trailer length for all the cars we got.
I tried to tell you guys, but nobody listened to me.
I told you we needed an extra driver.
He's right there, Steve.
We needed a fourth truck.
She's interested in one of those cars, potentially.
No.
No?
Okay.
They're all going to Texas.
You can't cram them.
Three, three, two.
Cadillac and a T-Bird.
I just literally added everything up.
We're 12 feet too short.
Power of positive thinking.
Watch this.
Here we go.
I can shrink them.
Okay.
Maybe.
Big blue will pick this thing up.
This is where math and Dennis don't work.
And he said this was going to be easy, didn't he?
Yeah, I think he did say that.
There's nothing easy here.
No, it's easy for him.
He just points and clicks.
Right.
It's like Christmas.
I spotted these a while ago and I thought,
they're unopened.
They're not even open.
This one's open.
I don't even care what's in there.
I just want the box.
Box is cool.
Those came off.
Well.
What is it?
I would say four lug that came.
Did you have a Capri?
I just want the boxes.
I don't care.
That's fine.
Can I buy the boxes for a hundred bucks?
Yeah, I mean, that's fine.
I'm not worried.
Update.
Turns out my math.
I wasn't adding on hanging off the front.
So we got, we got our footage.
We're good.
Dennis was right.
What?
Yeah, I said that.
Oh, this one might fire up.
Yeah, well.
Ready?
This car has been parked for 44 years.
That's twice as old as Zach.
Magnum 500s, front spoiler, rear wing,
and a Mach 1 stripe kit.
That car has literally been sitting since 1981.
We're going to make it outstanding.
Right, Zach?
I agree.
All right, John, I got a question.
Okay.
Did y'all own a Shelby or a California Special at some point in time?
We did not.
Okay, so what is that?
Is that a T-Bird tail light?
I would imagine it is, but I don't know for sure.
I bet it's a T-Bird.
Same thing.
Oh, it's broken.
It's broken.
Damn it.
Cool find, though.
Way to go, Jaime.
Thank you, sir.
Taking air.
I know, I see it.
Watch your butt.
Okay, I'll move the tractor.
It still has the original tires on it.
Original Michelin TRXs are on that car.
It's a 1985, 17,000 miles.
Wow.
What do we do with that, Zach?
That's a great question.
Come on, baby.
So after eight hours, what are we, about four into it?
We're doing good.
So I think the 73 Mustang was the winner as far as longest term hibernation, 81.
This one says it's 91.
If I'm doing the math right, that's 34 years.
James, you got to see this.
Not only a wood creeper.
Kmart, that is awesome.
You've got to get that.
So there was this guy in high school that worked at Kmart Automotive,
and we used to call him the Kmart Kid.
We had a 79 Camaro with hijackers.
Okay.
Anyway, it is funny.
And he had a mullet.
And he had a mullet?
Yeah.
I had a mullet in high school.
Kmart Kid.
That's cool.
Once again, I said I was wrong.
All that math I did was completely off by 10 feet at least.
I'm an idiot.
So we thought about bringing four rigs.
We didn't need four rigs because I did the math.
Sean did his math.
He was off.
I was right.
As usual.
All right.
All right, John and Jill, what is your favorite local place to eat?
Pizza place.
You like the pizza place?
What's the name of it?
Triple J's, but you've only got an hour.
I've only got an hour.
They're closed for that.
Triple J's Pizza?
Yeah.
Is it still pretty good?
Is it bad?
It's been better.
And then there's so many other places.
We'll go to Triple J's.
Look at that.
We got the Maui Waui.
I got some foam on you.
I think y'all's crust looks crispier than mine.
My gluten looks all right.
That is a beautiful slice.
Whoa, that is a lot of meat.
All right, Zach.
I'm going to have blood just cool.
Sorry, guys.
This is?
I'm not burning my mouth on that.
Something's hot.
Go ahead, Sean P.
No, I know it's hot.
It's steaming.
James?
Looks pretty hot down there.
I'm putting ranch on my plate.
That is outstanding pizza.
Wow.
How's yours, Zach?
Really good.
Sean P?
Awesome.
James?
Very good.
What'd you get?
No.
We're happy.
Triple J's in Santa Claus.
They have hot, spicy, sweet, great staff.
I can hardly talk, but it's fantastic.
If you're in the middle of nowhere in Santa Claus, stop here.
