Ryu Kim vs Diaconu Dragoman WD QF WTTChennai 2026

...has seen her singles ranking rise to 26 in the world, Kim Nayoung, and I think when you watch the play together you wonder why it is that Ryu Hana...Ryu Hana, lovely shot isn't it? Look how close she ends up to the floor here to make that, on no sign of Diakonu being sluggish today, Diakonu. Lovely exchanging, now that kind of encounter always drains the batteries. Ryu Hana's Misato and Honoka Hashimoto of Japan, well that had something special on it didn't it? Game points, oh that's clever, sent Hana, Diakonu to serve, and they've taken it, and they've held on, and a couple of challenges along the way there. Hitting it to Ryu Hana when she can play a forehand is dangerous, and then doing the same for Kim Nayoung is even more so, I mean, but maybe of several years I've pushed it, and it's clattered into play together so rarely. Looking for a clean first six points, and they're gonna get it, wow. Koreans just getting a few wires crossed, super reach from both Kim Nayoung and Ryu Hana on the forehands here, and then Kim does likewise, setting as well, ready for what comes next. Seven match points is what comes next, and passage to the semi-finals is the result.
