Exploring Girard's Forgotten Downtown Theatre & Hidden Alley: Wellman Theatre & other shops!
Hey guys today we explore historic downtown Girard Ohio, a Youngstown suburb. The Wellman Theatre opened in 1935 and closed as a theatre for the first time in 1959. Since then there have been many attempts to revive it as a theatre and most recently a church. It is now owned by Millenium Theatre Group of Youngstown, a performing arts organization. They are renovating/demolishing certain parts of it. The old alleyway is slated for demo, I love how historical this place is. Also next to it are other empty storefronts! Hope you guys enjoy this walk down memory lane Americana!
