NJ v. Paul Caneiro: 6 intense moments from closing arguments
Was Paul Caneiro a greedy criminal who killed his brother Keith along with Keith’s wife and kids? Or did prosecutors get the wrong man as a result of “tunnel vision” during the investigation?
The defense and prosecution presented closing arguments at the dramatic end of Caneiro’s quadruple murder trial.
Paul Caneiro, 59, is on trial for the murders of his brother Keith Caneiro, 50; Keith’s wife Jennifer, 45; and their children, Jesse, 11, and Sophia, 8.
Prosecutors say a mountain of DNA, ballistics and digital forensics evidence points to Paul as the only killer. Paul’s attorneys point to evidence that there may have been two killers and claim Paul was set up.
The trial is underway in a Monmouth County courtroom.
