Former Fort Monmouth site has been nearly cleared to make way for the Netflix mega-studio complex

The former Fort Monmouth has been nearly cleared to make way for the $903 million Netflix mega-studio. The media giant, which broke ground on the 289-acre complex nearly a year ago, has plans to build a film and television production studio. It’s split into multiple phases including four soundstages on the site’s 29-acre plot known as the McAfee Zone. The majority of the zone is in Oceanport with about three acres in neighboring Eatontown.
