Maybe the destruction that is happening now is a result of the crimes that his ancestors committed against the sea. Chris Evans plays King Adrion. Jennifer Lawrence plays Queen Mira - King Adrion's wife. She is connected to the old magic and the forbidden texts of her ancestors. Her knowledge shows that Leviathan is not just a monster - it is a divine punishment. It was sent by the ocean gods who are fed up with humans polluting and plundering the oceans for generations.
