Check out the best shots of the day from Round 3 of the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open, featuring Justin Rose, Joel Dahmen, Si Woo Kim, and Brooks Koepka, among others.
The Farmers Insurance Open returns to Torrey Pines with plenty of intrigue as the PGA TOUR stops on the iconic cliffs overlooking the Pacific. Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka headlines the week, making his return to TOUR competition via the Returning Member Program and opening his 2026 campaign at a venue that has hosted some of golf’s biggest moments. Chris Gotterup also arrives in strong form as the current co-leader of the FedExCup standings, adding further momentum to an already compelling field. A deep, top-heavy lineup awaits at Torrey Pines, led by defending champion Harris English and featuring a strong contingent of the world’s best, including Xander Schauffele, Justin Rose, J.J. Spaun, Hideki Matsuyama, Keegan Bradley, Ludvig Åberg and Cameron Young. With players rotating between the North and South courses before the weekend shift to the demanding South Course, the Farmers Insurance Open once again presents a classic test of length, patience and ball striking, setting the stage for another memorable chapter at one of the TOUR’s most storied venues.
Sal Rosso is 4th at the par 513th.
Hoops one from the bunker there at 13.
Back to 12 and it's a long ways away,
but Brooks could sorely use one to fall
without a doubt up this Ridge right here,
then break into his right, picking up speed.
That's a great call. Steve, you're right.
Sometimes it takes an unexpected birdie.
Pretty aggressive line here, Noda.
Shot that's a player that's got 100%
belief in how they're swinging.
We talk about angles.
He can attack from this angle.
124 drives it down a little bit left
to flag trying to use some of that slope.
Will check for all it does.
Beautiful shot making there.
For Justin Rose, after a 765 yesterday,
he is now 8 under par in 20
holes on the South course.
Which means he still has not made a par.
In this third round,
three overt to begin the day and
now three under on the next three,
Brooks is back to even par.
See will Kim.
On the fairway at 5 the ball below his feet.
Whole locations up on the left.
Yeah, that is so good boy.
He is striking it really well.
Yeah, this is just right with the flag,
but still looking good.
Let's stay on that Ridge.
A machine right now.
Opportunity after opportunity.
Another chance at birdie.
Justin Rose in full control of his game,
his mind and body,
and this farmer's insurance open.
He now has a six shot lead.
We're gonna head up to the 9th.
The Deckey Maxi almost 3rd at the par 5.
Very gettable front hole location
with a sand wedge in your hands.
Almost went in twice.
Did it catch a piece of the flag?
I couldn't tell it was right at it.
This to get to within one of the
all time lowest anybody's ever
been here at Torrey Pines.
Held by this man himself,
this is our leader at the 7th.
Justin Rose already 300 through six holes
today that is nine iron right at it.
Oh my goodness.
The way he strengthened the course
he feels on the backside of a lot
of these putting surfaces and where
you got hope locations as Rose
pours in another birdie.
Wow, how pure was that role right there?
At the 13th, one of the longest
hitters on the PGA Tour, Chris got her up.
Going for it in two here at the 619 yard par 5.
For Chris got her up at the par 513.
At 11 Rio hits at Suny this third year on
tour just 23 years of age.
Little downhill this whole.
Very narrow opening or that is stellar.
They'll come back down the hill.
It's getting better.
Great shot by the 23 year old.
Another player that played the
North course first hit set Suny.
He's playing the South course.
Well, those 66 yesterday for birdie for power.
Oh yeah, well used every inch of that.
Beautiful angle here.
Everything on the ground wasn't
to sweep toward the right.
Just continues to pepper the flagstick.
Dottie is coach Mark Blackburn told
me swing at the best he's seen since
2022 when they first started working together.
No stone unturned.
Oh, there's another one.
What a performance.
Justin Rose moves to 22 under,
which is the scoring record here
at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Interesting plays with his left hand.
Almost off the butt end of the club.
And here's that weak right handed grip.
He gets the right club, though.
And Frank, that's a wedge back
into a wind and he is pin seeking.
How to get better than that?
Put the risk off the teeth.
Oh, and it is tumbling.
Plastic shot from Justin Rose.
Yes Sir, now it's that Suny over here at 16.
Trying to draw one in here from 201.
Oh, and it's all over it.
So what a shot?
Chance for him to move into solo 4th.
23 front edge called off a slight downslope.
So now pretty flat.
If it gets gosh, it's on a good line.
If it gets to the front of the green,
this could chase all the way back there.
Lands on the front.
You can see these green start to firm up
and this is tracking Johnson.
What a shot right there.
There's been a lot of good this week from this man.
Up all the way into 15 see who Kim for Birdie.
See who to.
A tie for 5th and 11 under.
He responds to the double back at 12.
Consecutive birdies.
And over at 16, see Wu Kim from about 40 feet.
Mark only five birdies here so far today.
Holds the brute ordinarily.
Call for see Wu Kim losing to a tie for 4th.
That's the turkey, right?
Looking for the water buffalo at 17.
Shots to the field this week with a club in his hand.
Just doesn't love the piranha.
That's one more club, five.
He's got this turning over.
This looks aggressive.
Oh, and it paid off.
Just carries the bunker.
Going to have inside at 10 feet for Birdie here at 16.
Rio, he said Sunni who could find himself
in the final grouping tomorrow from 87 out of the rough
makes it a little more tricky.
Out of that rough, he silenced that.
Dottie, 4th closest approach shot here at 16 today
from Joel Damon.
That was a gutsy play.
Now finish it off.
Oh yeah, right in the middle.
He has made some putts of that length today.
At 18, he's not Sunni to get to 13 under.
Pours it in.
In a round of 68 and two, and he's
been finishing with a flourish since 14.
This one up and over the slope, tough to judge.
Judged it well, Mark.
Clear sky day, they say.
Temperature about 70.
See Wu has a nice up and down.
He's just again, just short of the 18th green.
That was not an easy down to Mark Immelman,
but he pulled it off.
It feels like everybody has had the same approach.
There's a lot of kindness out there awaiting you.
Everybody that I've talked to has seemed excited
and just said, welcome back.
And that's all they really need to say, I think.
And I'm excited to see it.
Like I said earlier in the week, I've
kind of fallen back in love with the game, and I'm excited.
Third shot here for Rose after a beauty by Damon.
And look at this, coming in low.
Gorgeous.
Poised for another birdie.
This to take the lead in second place competition by two.
Good play, and good play, and Joe Damon.
He made some nice downhill putts down the stretch from 15 onward.
Exquisite.
As the season marches on, this propels him
to other great things.
Remember, he won back in Memphis against an elite field
at the FedEx St. Jude, and he goes back to Augusta.
He'll be one of the contenders there.
And then the PGA is at Aeronomic.
That's right.
And he has a history there.
He won in 2014, won a tour event there.
