Rhythm of life

This is the story of a connection forged by someone special to me.

Kamisui, Hokucho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.

Fresh air and water flowing down from the mountains.

This is a rural village where human activity and nature blend together peacefully, without haste.

The Shibata Sake Brewery began producing sake here in 1830.
The essential water for sake production is the Kamisui spring water, hence the place's name.

This ultra-soft water, with a hardness of 0.2, produces a smooth, mellow sake.

The underground springs of the land.

The lifeblood of the earth.

And the lifeblood of humanity.

Maku, a rental inn formed from the accumulation of time.

Renovated from an old post office built over 100 years ago, this place allows you to enjoy local cuisine, experience sake, and take deep breaths in the sauna.

This isn't a glamorous tourist destination. But there's definitely a constant flow here.

Slowly.

Quietly.

Feel the rhythm with all your senses.

This is where I've been.
