Princess Catherine Stuns in Chic Chocolate Brown at Lambeth Palace – Meeting the First Female Archbishop of Canterbury
Hello and welcome back to Royal Insider News, and today we're diving into a truly special and
historic moment. The Prince and Princess of Wales visited Lambeth Palace to meet the Most Reverend
Dame Sarah Mullally, the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, and the very first woman ever to
hold this ancient role in the Church of England's 1,400-year history. This was the couple's first
formal meeting with Archbishop Sarah since her confirmation at St Paul's Cathedral last month.
Dame Sarah, previously the Bishop of London, was greeted warmly on the steps of Lambeth Palace by
William and Catherine. The trio then moved inside to the Archbishop's study for photographs and
relaxed in formal conversation. But let's talk about what everyone's buzzing about – Princess
Catherine's stunning outfit. Kate absolutely embodied quiet luxury and understated elegance
in a perfectly coordinated chocolate-brown monochrome look. She chose a bespoke midi dress
by Adeline Lee, the jet style in a beautiful textured pebble-effect brown jacquard fabric.
The dress featured a flattering belt that cinched the waist, giving it a polished yet feminine
silhouette. She layered it with a slightly darker bespoke Catherine Walker coat, perfect
for the rainy London weather, creating a warm, cosy feel, while keeping everything tonal and
sophisticated. Kate finished the look with her signature Gianvito Rossi chocolate pumps,
adding height and polish, and kept jewellery minimal but meaningful, classic Cartier Trinity
earrings, and a brand new, touching Daniela Draper gold keeper's heart-trace necklace,
featuring a heart pendant with a handwritten message, said to be a sentimental piece from
Prince William. The rich chocolate tones were spot-on for the season, and tied perfectly into
this winter's brown trend – elegant, timeless, and so very Kate. Her hair was styled in soft,
loose waves, and her makeup was natural and glowing, letting the outfit and the historic
moment take centre stage. Faith remains incredibly important to the Prince and Princess.
As future King and Supreme Governor of the Church of England, William values these spiritual
connections deeply, and Catherine's presence added warmth and support to this landmark meeting.
William is also expected to represent the King at Dame Sarah's official installation at Canterbury
Cathedral on March 25, 2026. What a beautiful blend of history, faith and fashion. Princess
Catherine once again showed why she's a style icon. Drop a comment below. Do you love Kate's
