How's everyone doing out there?
I've got a treat for you.
I've got some pork, some sausages.
I can't wait to try them.
I can't wait to have a look at them.
I've been shopping to Asda.
Come and have a look what I got.
And here they are.
Plum Garts of Kendal.
I got them in Asda.
I thought, ooh, sort of butcher sausages in a supermarket.
I've got to try them.
Cumberland Chipolata sausages, a 12-pack.
They're used by the 4th of February.
And what else we got on there?
UK, and that's the address down there,
3 Kendal Fell Business Park, Underbarrow Road, Cumbria.
Right, I'll tell you the price.
Ooh, I do love my pig.
So they were two pounds and 73 pence.
So let's take a closer look at the packaging.
So Plum Garts of Kendal,
we've got a farm shop and a butcher's.
So what have we got in there?
Let's have a look.
Pork is 70%.
We've got allergens in there of wheat and sulfites.
Yeah, there's more nutrition there
if you want to have a look at the nutrition.
And there's the address, like I said before.
Have a look around the back.
Nothing on the back.
Right, let's get these open and see what we have got.
Yeah, so they're just sort of sealed like that, aren't they?
Sort of cling film straight into them.
Yeah.
Now, it depends how you want to do them yourself.
Let's see if they're all linked.
Yeah, look at that.
So they're filled with pork casings.
Let's just make sure we have got 12,
four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12,
all present and correct.
Right, let's get them cooking.
Right, they're all going in.
They're going in my air fryer.
Can you know, I've got a liner.
I'm going to use a liner this time.
So they're all going in.
Yeah, they're all going down the hatch.
Not just my hatch.
Right, let's get them in.
They're done.
Let's get them out.
So I was wondering why they're only 70% pork content.
And I did a little search online
asking why Chippewa sausages only have a low pork content.
And it did give me an explanation.
I'll read it out to you now.
So apparently, low pork content
is to allow for more seasonings,
which people prefer as a breakfast sausage.
So it's mainly a breakfast sausage,
but you can eat them any time, can't you?
You really can.
Right, let's, so they are all linked.
Not all of them linked.
We'll get that one.
We'll get them cut in half.
I'm going to cut them this way down.
We'll have a look inside.
I'll have to sharpen my knives.
Either that or we've got a tough pork's casing.
There we are.
Have a look inside there.
That's inside.
They're smelling good.
They really are smelling good.
I mean, you can do them in the frying pan,
do them in the oven,
do them under the grill.
It's up to you.
Let's try them.
It also says that a higher pork content sausage
with more meat can be more dense and dry out.
I must admit, I do like high pork content.
We'll try them.
Oh, they're lovely.
No gristle.
Slightly peppery.
Very juicy.
They are lovely.
Oh, I'm going to have to go in again.
I am.
There they are.
It has got a bit of a dip to it.
The pork casing.
Let me have a moment.
They are tasty.
They are.
They're slightly peppery,
but not massively peppery.
I do like pepper.
They're lovely.
I'm picking up a bit of white pepper in there as well.
I do like white pepper.
I like black pepper.
There's a few herbs in there as well.
They're juicy.
They are quite meaty.
They've got a meaty texture to them.
You know.
Oh, they are good.
They are good.
Oh, I could snaffle all them up.
Definitely.
Oh.
Oh, I could definitely snaffle all them up.
Yes.
I'm happy as a pig in.
Beep.
You know what I mean?
Oh, they are tasty.
They are tasty.
Now, my wife and my kids are going to...
They said, you just finish your review.
Don't worry about us.
They are piping hot.
I'm going to let me wife and kids get theirs now,
and I'll bring you back for a summary.
And then there was two.
My wife and my nippers have took the rest.
Left me with these two.
I'm going to get them in.
I'm going to get them down now,
but I'll tell you what I think of them.
So what did I think of them?
Cor, they were really good.
They were good.
My wife just went, cor, they are tasty.
That is, she likes them.
Kids like them as well.
Very, very nice.
I'll have to take a trip to this farm shop,
and I'll have to do a little video
and put it on my other channel.
And yeah, definitely we'll have to do a few more trips out.
But you can get them in...
Probably can't get them in your Asda, unfortunately,
because our Asda is in Barrow,
which is not too far away from Kendal.
But I would imagine in your supermarkets,
you'll have butcher sausages or farm shop sausages.
You've just got to try them, haven't you?
Do a bit of searching about.
But yeah, perfect.
They'd be perfect then with a couple of fried eggs,
bacon, black pudding, cor, yeah,
and a lovely, lovely big buttered bun.
Cor, whoo, or on a full English breakfast, full fry up.
So yeah, they are good.
For me, they're top marks, 10 out of 10.
They are tasty.
They really are tasty.
Yeah, I'll have to do some...
I'll have to get myself around some more local butchers.
I don't tend to do local butchers,
because when I review them, a lot of people say,
well, it's no good to me.
I live 400 miles away, you know,
other side of the country.
But there'll be good butchers where you live.
I'm sure there will.
So thanks for watching.
I do appreciate it and subscribing
and more videos like this to come.
Keep your recommendations coming in as well.
I do appreciate them.
And I'll get back to you on the next one.
Have a good weekend.
All the best.
