A lot of volleyball in a lot of leagues and brings a great deal of composure
to this largely young Czechia team. Let's see how she matures over the course of this Volleyball
Nations League. The Libro Nife Fan in black. First set is underway and the first swing
here is Mlenkova the captain playing in Bergamo. She's played in Germany, Poland, France, Turkey,
Greece. Well-traveled, well-experienced. Important for this young Czechia team. Great swing.
Good tempo on the pipe running inside. Gliciani back to a two-point game. Nife Fan feeds it in.
Swing from backcourt by Wu Moncia. That's the counter move when you know that the blocker
in position four is releasing to their hero. Good swing but a great touch. The set by Brancuska.
So powerful down the line just to restore that two-point cushion for China.
And it goes then to Valkova. Carried on the way and Gliciani can't finish it. Free ball China
for a three-point lead. Well that's tipped into midcourt as well. Zhelerova was there. Now the
swing from backcourt into the net. Scramble required. Great opportunity for Czechia. Groza.
Oh the dig by Zhang. Superb. An overall one. Fantastic rally. The hands now. Czechia need to
convert. Oh Nife. Sensational. What a point. Stay there. Good choices to keep the head up. To not
run away. 23-22. Czechia ahead for the first time in the set. China up against it.
Oh but that is gonna go over. Valkova couldn't quite control it. It was a heavy ball.
Positioning was good relative to the ball. Slide and maybe the pipe through the middle for Czechia.
It is the pipe. It is the block. A huge play. This will give us a great view of it.
Oh it's a phenomenal block move. The release was already on towards position four from Wang.
Andrantjuska could have gone almost anywhere else. So much space to the left of Wang.
The set though from Valkova. She showed a lot the ball's going to four. Got Wang to move.
She could be quite the commodity. It's the second set. It's Zhang Zixu serving.
Here's Malenkova receiving. It is Brandtjuska swinging. It is Czechia.
Valkova. 7-7. Oh nearly. Brandtjuska was there. Groza. Nife Fan. Wu Mengxia. High off the hands.
Oh the swing from deep. Beats Groza. It was six on six and this time Gong Xiangyu
picks up the small victory. Working hands. Finding seam. Feliciani. Slightly overpassed
but the block is unbelievable. No reason. Rational way that she should be able. Very
tough to make the angle. Yang Xiumin serving to stay in the set. It's another good serve.
But here's the swing. It is down. It is the captain Michaela Malenkova who has been
outstanding at the sharp end of set two. And Czechia level the tie.
And to their immense credit. They have really battled in these opening two sets.
They've never been ahead in the beginning or the middle but they have been on an
upward trajectory in both sets one and two. Six attacks. One block. One serve. But now
the teams have changed ends. It's the start of the third set. It's Helena Groza
serving with an ace. The perfect start for Czechia. Just go for the experience. He's got
one CU available if required. Who started the game. Digredova covers. Valkova to the middle.
A little bit of carnage into Zhang. Another good touch by Groza. Valkova
won that chance. First touch there by Zhelerova and down the line. It's gone with a great touch.
The swing by Rumon Ser. Hot from deep. Brilliant. Break point lead. 6-4.
That one forced backwards off Groza. It was Milenkova covering.
Digredova. Free ball. Zhang. Tees up the pipe and Zhang Yuxuan.
7-15. Decent ball in. Zhang. Out wide. Horroring spike.
Stepping side cut. Zhang. Oh no. In fact it was Nife Fan who stepped in to set that one.
That'll be given as a catch ball. Grabovska. Clips the net and China lead by two sets to
one. Rumon Ser. They're gonna have to do it this time or this one's gonna be done.
Zhang serving first in the fourth set. China win it. They get their third victory. Czechia win it
then we go to five. It's a good defense from Czechia to begin with but they're just struggling
to cope with Rumon Ser who is now. 12 points for Groza. Just two behind Milenkova at the top
of the tree. Branchuska also on 12. Serve is something a bit different but it has given
Czechia a chance from the middle. Not converted. Zhang and Gong. Groza's backcourt. Oh yes.
That's the power we saw early in the game. It's time getting the open. 8-7.
The angle cut off by Gong Xiangyu. Push backcourt by Rumon Ser. Groza with the little tip. It's
another good pickup. Oh Groza's there again. Digrenova bumps. Groza swings. Rumon Ser's
there. It's eased over and back on China's side. Rumon Ser into the hands up by Valkova.
Digrenova. Groza again. Still alive. Nifei Fan. Zhang. Rumon Ser. For the touch. Doesn't get it.
Oh is there a touch here? The circle says. Yes there is Valkova.
Zhang. Oh there is some swazz on that from Zhang Yushan. Swazz is a technical term Dave.
It's a new one. Watch that. That's swazz. Pass by Milenkova. Swing needs to be good. Oh and it is
Branchuska on the pipe. Nifei Fan. Good pass. Oh but a free ball. Oh it's not a free ball.
Everyone's overrun it. Czechia switch off the gift. 21 year old. 184 in height. That gets big
on Digrenova. Groza. Well played. Well played. Cool. Calm. Collected. Keeps Czech serving to
stay in business. Gniflova floats that in. Zhang with the set. The swing by Zhang Yushan.
Puts an end to a really interesting contest.
