Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart completed his Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major, K. 39, at the age of 11 in Salzburg. The autographs of his first four concertos, all of which are in the possession of the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow, were dated July 1767 by his father. Although long considered originals, they are now known to be orchestrations of sonatas by various German virtuosos. Mozart and his family probably became acquainted with these works by other composers during their stay in Paris in 1763-1764, as they were widely available there.

Mozart seems to have begun to grapple with the structural problems of composing in piano form by using movements from sonatas by other composers. It is possible that his father (Leopold Mozart) had intended this as a method of teaching composition.

The video was captured by Christian Schlegel and edited by Wenjing Ma.
