All right, hey everybody, PJ Reilly, Lancaster Archery in our video studio. It is hunting season
and so I'm here to tell you about the brand new Millennium Run & Gun V2 Combo Setup. So
what it is, it is your tree stand, a hang on tree stand and climbing sticks all in one pack. Nests
nicely together there. We'll show you exactly how that all sets up in a second but this is a pack
that you can buy and it has everything you need. You don't have to buy the stand and the sticks,
figure out a way to carry everything. Everything you need comes together and we'll talk about this
in a second. I want to talk about some other things you're going to get in the pack as well
which includes Tree Stand Manufacturers Association approved full body safety harness
and then something I think that's cool that you get, the Millennium Safe Link.
Probably not going to use this in a run and gun setup. In other words, that's a setup where you
carry everything into the woods with you. You set up your sticks and your stand and then when you
come down you take everything with you. That's usually not a case where you're going to use a
lifeline but hey, any chance I can get to get the Millennium Safe Link, this is one of the best
lifelines in the business in my opinion. 30 foot lifeline, you're going to hang this up. Usually
this is in a stand that stays so that you can connect yourself at the ground. It does come with
a carabiner and the prusik knot and the premise is that as you climb up you're just going to move
this prusik knot. You're going to climb up the tree with it. You'll be connected and when you
come back down you bring it down with you as well. Of course prusik knot, if you fall it catches.
Again, always great to have. You can never have too many lifelines in my opinion
but probably not going to use that in a run and gun situation. So the Run and Gun V2, what you're
going to get with it? It is based on, you're going to get four of the M255 Vulcan climbing sticks
and you're going to get the M8 tree stand. Also it's going to come with Millennium's new stick
quiver. I'll show you how that works. You can see everything is held in here rock solid. That's one
of the things that I really like about this. You're not carrying your sticks on a backpack.
They are connected to the tree stand right here by these bungees and what Millennium says is,
you know, we have four here but you can connect up to six. So you could have three and three
with these bungee cords but then your sticks are just going to come out like that. They are nested
together. This is your stick quiver parts right here. That's awesome. These things are made from
a super hard plastic so they are going to be quiet but again your sticks are connected to the stand
not banging around on a backpack. So the Vulcan sticks, these are 19 inches long however they're
going to be 17 inches from step to step so that's going to be good. That's going to get you pretty
high. I should mention the whole kit together is going to weigh 19 pounds. Stand and sticks 19 pounds
that's going to weigh. Once again I'll take these off. Just great sticks. Super sturdy. In fact I'll
show you how the sticks go on first. You are going to get these four straps up front here.
These four straps are for your Vulcan climbing sticks and you're going to notice this wheel
on the front here. So the way these sticks connect is you're going to take one loop end,
go around the wheel. Obviously that's super solid, cannot come off. I'm going to go around the tree,
take my other end over top and now I'm just going to tighten it down. Got a simple
pull buckle right there and once you get these things locked in place, my tree moves because
it's on wheels. Once you get them locked in place and then do this, once you pull down that's not
even my full weight. So you can imagine if I'm climbing up. What I like about these sticks is
they are rock solid. Just the way they grip the teeth up here, super solid, super strong.
I also like the fact that you've got steps on both sides. For me, you know, you're not trying
to find one or the other. Both hands, both feet, you can use on any of the sticks. So Vulcan sticks,
super solid sticks they have there by Millennium. For the platform, again as we mentioned,
this is the Millennium M8 tree stand and so the way it comes, you can see how it packs
our platform dimensions. We're going to have 20 and a half inches wide by 20 inches deep
and then our seat here is going to be 20 inches across and here's one of the cool things.
So it packs in this fashion and I've got my stick quiver parts on the top here. So when I get to
the tree stand, I'm just going to take this and there is a bolt right here. I'm just going to
undo this and that will allow me to flip my seat up. So I get up, bring the seat up, put the bolt
back in and now there's my seat, flips up, comes down. These seats are super comfortable by
Millennium. It is a mesh seat that's got some give to it. That 20 inch width, that is awesome as well.
How we're going to connect, I've got these two hooks on the side of the platform, one here and
one here. Obviously I'm going to take my strap, put it on there, go around my tree. You'll be able to
work with trees from 19 to 22 inches in diameter. So that's going to get you up into some
a wide range of trees. So one of the things I'm going to do is when I get
my tree set, I'm going to lift up the platform, pull my strap tight and then
when I push down, my platform kind of acts as a cantilever to really lock that in place.
Again, super strong, comfortable and just secure. That's what I like. I like a tree stand that
doesn't move. And so what I'll say about this platform is it looks small, but because you can
flip up the seat like this and stand back against the tree, it feels a lot bigger when you're in it.
I've hunted from this and it definitely feels a lot bigger when you're hunting from it than it
looks. So great tree stand from the folks at Millennium, the M8. That's what works with this
system. And of course the setup, you saw me wearing the run and gun setup. It comes with
the back straps. That comes with it. So you're just going to hang your stand like that. You've
already got your backpack straps there. And again, what I like is that you get everything at once.
You're not having to piece it together. And I like that it comes with four sticks. I'm a four stick
guy. A lot of stick sets come with three. Just can't get me as high as I need to go. Four sticks,
for sure, I'm going to be able to get. I like being in that 20 foot range. Four 19 inch sticks,
I'm getting to 20 feet. All right. So that is the Millennium Run and Gun V2 Combo. Again,
has everything that you're going to need for a run and gun bow hunting setup in the M8, Millennium
M8 tree stand, as well as the M255 Vulcan sticks, 19 inch climbing sticks. Everything that you're
going to need, plus the straps, super comfortable setup that you're going to be able to use,
that you're going to be able to carry on your back. And incidentally, I've heard folks say,
okay, I've got my tree stand and my sticks. Where am I going to put my backpack? So what I'll tell
you is these sticks, they're going to, when they're nested on the tree stand, they're going
to sit like this on your back. And what you can do is you can connect your backpack straps,
the outside of this one and the outside of this one, as it sits on your back, just loop your
backpack straight over those sticks. That's how I carry mine into the woods. So great setup from
Millennium. If you want to see this on our website, be sure to click the link in the description
