Matvei Safonov continues his streak of goals for Paris Having already started in the Champions League against Newcastle the Russian goalkeeper is retained at Strasbourg preferred once again to Lucas Chevalier Gary O'Neill's team meanwhile is without Valentin Barko who is suspended Luis Henrique starts the match by choice instead of Ousmane Dembele Without his Ballon d'Or Paris is outmatched from the start of the match Geladoué shifts Diego Moreira to the right The Belgian sets up Nuno Mendes He cuts back onto his left foot and strikes Safonov easily stops it just above his near post Strasbourg presses forward on the right flank with Enciso in the center The Paris defenders clear the ball notably Marquinhos Strasbourg fans demand a handball foul confirmed by video review Handball by Marquinhos penalty awarded for wrestling Joaquin Panicelli faces Safonov The Russian makes a stop as a specialist He has saved 5 of the 7 shots on goal or penalties he faced this season Record across the five major leagues And it's 0-0 between Strasbourg and PSG The reigning European champions are determined to capitalize on their goalkeeper's heroics Barkola Pressé and Mamadou Sarr break through the defense setting up Seni Maïoulou for a decisive pass Luis Henrique's preferred pressing style proves effective In an instant Paris take control of the match Mamadou Sarr fell into Barkola's trap And Maïoulou took the opportunity to score his third goal of the season in Ligue 1 PSG leads 1-0 But Guerionil's men are far from discouraged after going behind early On the contrary as shown by this incredible play Chilwell is tackled and crosses for Guéladoué who equalizes Both wingers overran their positions to quickly close down Strasbourg A true attacker's goal for Guéladoué He continued his effort to the very end And he scores before the eyes of his longed-for brother Leave him on the Parisian bench at kickoff Strasbourg makes a strong impression in this opening phase Moreira Chilwell and Enciso keep combining Enciso looks up within the box He ultimately chose to strike Saffon remained alert and wouldn't let him get away with it He held onto that one-point lead throughout halftime After the break Luis Henrique brought on Doué who had been eager to play replacing the underperforming Ibrahim Bay And Doué quickly shows his skill with a pass to Mayoulou who regains his number 14 jersey Doué curls it around He would have loved to emulate his older brother But his attempt falls short of Penders' cage With 20 minutes remaining Paris are performing much better in this match Hakimi dribbles past Chilwell but misses the ball in front of Panicelli Close contact between the two men Mr Vatteli is summoned by the video team to review the point of contact The Moroccan's foot is very high After further consideration a straight red card was shown to Achraf Hakimi PSG will finish this match with ten men Yet this numerical disadvantage fuels the players from the capital Kanginli takes the lead superb ball for Zaheer Emry He's looking at his options in the center Doué is in position Nuno Mendes at the far post It's the Portuguese who emerge and Paris take the lead again Just as in the goal at Strasbourg Paris regain the lead thanks to their two full-backs Zaheer Emry shifted to the right after Hakimi's red card For Nuno Mendes making a run from the left With one less player PSG takes the lead through Gueïssar We've entered the extra time of this match There are still a few minutes left for Racing to try and equalize With this ball being repositioned inside the penalty area It's blocked but it comes back to Martial Godot who can continue the attack Unfortunately the Strasbourg attacker slips The chance was excellent to secure a draw But it's Paris who lands the major blow on this 20th matchday Victory by 2-1 their sixth consecutive win in Ligue 1 o keep the championship lead over Anse Meanwhile Strasbourg remains seventh
