Sato/Shibata vs Yokoi/Odo | WD Final | WTT Star Contender Doha 2026

...rather than with Honoka Hashimoto, who of course isn't here in Doha anyway. Lovely shot from Yokoi. Two right-hander. System is, of course, represented. All out. And still going in. So in that sense, it's a really interesting mix. Nice match with Bat onto it. Game point. And game secured. 12-10. It's good play. Sato's... She's given the charge of speeding things up. Trying to finish points. That time it clips the net. Simplifies the brief somewhat. Oh yeah. This time they both go defensive, which is interesting. Oh yeah, that's... Sakura Yokoi at her best. Falls to Sato. On that third ball attack, she's... Six game points. Game two. 11-4, as expected, but... really applies extra pressure as well to those roles. I think when we've seen Sato and Shibata play their best, they do have an element. 20-25. Well-placed by Odo. That's good from Sato. Yeah. The attacking side of Hitomi Sato. Much better. Singles finals day as well as mixed doubles final. A great rub for her money. All the cards, Yuko and Odo. Wonderful rally. Which Sato and Shibata take. Half a chance. They're not going to get one, are they? Sakura Yokoi closing the door. Oh yeah. Oh. It would have been some return that. But Sakura Yokoi and Satsuki Odo are looking at the skies once again. The star contender, Doha.
