A cosy vlog from the very rainy English countryside. Cooking a simple meal, yoga, writing and of course the beauty of Rural England - a visit to Castle Combe & Dyrham Park in the Cotswolds and Fingle Bridge.
Enjoy, Adriana x
Don't let a weak sun tempt
you It's been cold here for a week around Somerset
The September night arrived with a sharper chill as if
everything were water meant to wash away the last traces of spring
and prepare the site for next September
I was born in Poland and still clearly remember the long cold spring
My wet legs and chafed skin every morning on the way to
school and that cold bone-deep chill that seeps into your blood
So if you're asking me I'd happily embrace a chilly British winter
Especially here on Sommerset the cold is so
delightful and the colorful flowers arrive so early
That truly is a blessing to call this beautiful place my home
Of course the cold here presents its own challenges
The lower levels are currently underwater
It's just the usual weather condition around here but nothing new
The Earth is made up of old machines and footballs
Winter wheat that has been hardened by cold over thousands of years
The clue is located in the region's name
Sommerset means the lands of those who live in cold regions
People have worked and lived in this area since prehistoric times
but in winter nature reclaims the land
And there's nothing we can do about it
Though dangerous and even hazardous to people
Sommerset's levels are a haven for
animals which makes me love them even more
I think these final weeks of winter need extra protection
Our minds and bodies are weary and suffering from
the heat which still lingers for several more months
Simple eating fish is how we survived the last winter
Even when the winter season isn't so far off
In old English calendars winter began on September 1st
Lub Kandelmas on September 2
It was believed that the worst of winter had passed
People watched with hope and anticipation for the first signs of winter
when life will be easier and more beautiful again
September 1st also marks the midpoint
between winter and winter in Bokem
Days are already lengthening for six weeks
and the annual night arrives a bit earlier
Daffodils toss their heads like suns and
perhaps this is how Mother Nature does it
o inspire hope and faith in the natural order within our hearts
September 2nd is such a pleasant time of year
It's known for its unusually unsettled weather
which invites us to rest a little longer
Despite still being forbidden from buying a book
I can never say no when it comes to going shopping
especially one built in old stations Lately I've been reading
a lot
feeling what I missed in November and
September when our store is busiest
I hope my ban on buying the book won't last much longer
As long as I'm not resting
Calling about September to my house
These dark cold cold days
ey are marked to be illuminated with flowers and candles
evoking a sense of calm peace and hope
Even though this month is likely to be cold and dreary
I encourage you to put in the effort and get out there
As a small business owner I absolutely love seeing our
candle holders and home decorations
shipped off to your homes
But if there's one thing I truly want to encourage you
to do it's spending time in
nature—observing the seasons
She was the greatest source of healing in my life and I
believe it's a crucial foundation for a peaceful existence
Even cold days have their charm Just as the
British say there's no
such thing as bad weather
You just need better clothes
My last weeks have
been filled with messages
above all I'
m about one and a half
my first book about a peaceful life
while writing a new book about danger
And of course I wrote the week's entries for my blog
Now we've reached the final week
of our series on the New Year
That was my most likely series
so far with over 500 comments
Thousands of visits to the blog and
placed orders I wanted
to thank all of you
While enjoying the
clicked content and easy
fun so many of you still choose my music
And a peaceful life and seasons I am so
grateful that I chose
the difficult path
regaining my readers and viewers
Instead of shifting to training topics
My height has remained stable
for some time now and it
will surely settle even further
soon On the blog we discuss
setting sales intentions
For me it's about receiving
my first book
and beginning to write
Book number 2 in February
I think that's all about
improving the parts
of oneself that feel genuine and natural
Even if it's not always the
easiest option maintaining
strength is what makes it
worthwhile and what makes it matter
at you feel alive
Peaceful life does not mean
giving up work but
choosing what truly matters
which truly belongs to our energy
I found what I like
and I hope this blog series
will help you find it too
And that's also what you like
Thank you for watching and I
hope to see you
again on the blog
