Hey everybody, this is PJ Reilly from Lancaster Archery with an outdoor product video for you
today. Outside of the studio, brand new from the folks at Victory, we have the Rival and the Rival
X. So, brand new Carbon Arrow from the folks at Victory. Let's start with what's new and
unique about these. First, Rival and Rival X. Your Rival is going to be the version with a
.005 straightness tolerance. Rival X, .002. So, that's the only difference if you see Rival and
Rival X, just the straightness tolerances. But, what's different about this arrow is the inside
diameter, .225. Haven't really seen one in that diameter. You're going to have standard in
Victory's line, you're going to have a .204 and you're going to have a .245. Now you've got a .225.
So, somewhere in between there and, you know, just another option, another offering for you.
If .204 was too small, .245 was too big, .225. Also, what's new is these are made out of Victory's
1.5K carbon weave. 1.5K carbon weave. What does that mean? So, the carbon weave, the K, that's
going to be 1,500 filaments per bundle that's used to make this carbon weave. 1.5K carbon,
that's prized in a bunch of different industries for being super light, super durable. Obviously,
we like that in our arrows and I mentioned that super light. So, these arrows are going to be
available in spines of 250, 300, 350, 400, 500. I have the 300 right here and this is 8.6 grains
per inch. That's pretty light. 300 spine, you're generally looking 8.9 GPI and up for most arrows.
So, to have one at 8.6 grains per inch, that's pretty light. Now you're going to see, you know,
that .225, that's kind of an off size there. So, it is going to come with a seven grain
knock bushing and then your knock is going to be standard IP knock. So, IP knock with the bushing,
that's how you get your knock to fit into a different, a unique sized shaft here, that .225.
And then for your insert, you are going to have 30 grain stainless steel insert. So,
those are the components that are going to come with the Rival and the Rival X. But, you know,
what do we like about the Rival X? You can see I built them up here. I've been shooting them a
little bit today. Flatter trajectory, definitely from those .245 diameters, that 1.5K carbon weave,
you know, it definitely has a nice feel to it, comes out of the targets nice. But,
one of the things that's good when you get to that 1.5K carbon weave is the recovery. So,
when you shoot this, you know, sometimes you might see some wiggle as the arrow comes out and then
the fletching is correct. The faster that it can correct, the flatter your trajectory is going to
because you're not wasting any energy by the arrow wobbling side to side. That 1.5K carbon
allows this arrow to recover faster out of the bow, which means it's getting downrange quicker.
And, you know, something that Victory is known for, of course, every shaft is going to be spine
aligned so that, you know, you want to fletch like I have here to have one vein facing straight up,
one that high spine, you want that facing up. Every one of the Rival and Rival X is spine aligned.
All right, that is the Rival and Rival X, brand new arrows from the folks at Victory,
brand new size that we haven't seen before, .225. Great to see a new offering on the market. If you
