Serenity Above the Streets|A Senior Couple’s Ideal Home with Garden Greens
Welcome to a Japanese house tour!
This detached house was designed with post-retirement living in mind and is nestled in a densely built residential neighborhood. The plot is slightly narrow and trapezoidal, but by designing the building in a T-shape, two small gardens were created at the east and west corners. The greenery planted in each garden brings a sense of richness to everyday life.
The living, dining, and kitchen area is located on the second floor, where privacy is easier to secure. From the windows, you can enjoy views of the lush gardens, and the space is filled with natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. The interior is composed mainly of natural materials such as solid wood and plaster, creating a healthy and serene living environment. Individual rooms have been designed for both the husband and wife, allowing for personal time as well as shared moments. A true forever home to enjoy the later stages of life.
