Hong Kong gives me a very retro vibe.
I've never seen an egg tart this neat.
This is a go-through. I have no money.
It's so chewy.
This just goes to show you,
when you climb a mountain,
don't care about how high it is.
I got my first egg tart.
They're so clean-looking.
Like, I've never seen an egg tart this neat.
Like, you're joking.
They also have a coconut tart.
Kind of does have a hint of coconut.
How buttery.
So, we just had lunch,
and of course,
my big bag needs to go to another cafe
to have more food.
Well, actually, I just want a new journal.
But I'll be honest with you guys,
Hong Kong,
it doesn't get me in a journaling mood
because of how fast the city is.
And I really wanted to finish, like, a book
while traveling.
Spoiler alert,
that did not happen.
But this cup of latte was pretty decent.
I really like it.
And the vibes in here were really good.
And then I decided to come to this park
and walk around.
I do think that in the city,
there's not as much, like, nature spot
unless, like, you take an Uber or a train
outside of the city.
And then you'll see more nature.
So, just cruising around.
I think that when I'm in a different city,
I just like to walk around.
Then I went back to the hotel.
I took a little rest.
And then I came to Quarry Bay Park.
This was super close to my hotel.
And this was super nice.
I really recommend you guys to come here
to, like, check out the vibes.
And also, a lot of people there
were, like, working out.
Like, doing sports.
And then I came to this, like, mall,
which was also super close to my hotel.
And I was, like, wondering for sure.
But it was only 3 p.m.
And so I was checking out the different stores.
There was a lot of, like, these cute boutique stores
that had, like, different, like, keychains,
little toys.
Just little trinkets.
I love looking at different things.
They're just super, super cute.
You know what I mean?
And so I was just walking around.
I would say that, honestly,
like, the things I do when I solo travel,
it might seem a little boring to others.
But for me, it just fulfills my inner child.
And I think that's the most important.
As long as you are happy with the things you do.
That's all that matters.
You know what I mean?
And then...
Oh, my God.
These...
Are those pancake?
Oh, my God.
Or are those French toast?
I think it's French toast.
Oh, my God.
That egg tart was literally the one I had.
Oh, wait.
My biggest regret coming to Hong Kong
was not getting the IKEA yogurt, guys.
They had yogurt in IKEA.
Like, fro-yo.
But it's okay.
I don't know if I got those before this vlog.
But I think later you'll see me get Yo Mama.
That is a frozen yogurt brand.
And you bet I did collect some stickers again.
And they had, like, these really cute Christmas decorations up.
Because for those who don't know,
I did spend my Christmas in Hong Kong.
And then I walked around again.
And everywhere just feels like I'm in, like, a movie.
You know what I mean?
And then we got dinner.
And this fried rice was so bust, y'all.
Like, this was one of the best fried rice I've ever had.
It was so good.
This vegetarian restaurant.
And you guys told me that Veggie Kingdom is really good.
And the thing is that that was actually my first pick.
But they have so many reservations.
So I actually got a reservation here.
And I saw some people in front of me.
They were like, it'll be at least a few hours.
So if you want to come here, guys,
make sure to make a reservation.
So anyways, we got a seat outside
because the weather today is kind of nice.
So this is the little menu that they give you.
And we're going to see what we want.
And we're going to order.
And I'm going to compare.
So far, this also has a chain.
This has two locations.
And then the Three Virtues Restaurant also has a chain.
I've been to both, okay?
This one is the one in Causeway Bay.
They had more reviews, I think.
So we're going to quickly make our orders.
We're going to try this place out.
And I'll let you know, okay?
Guys, guys, we got the rice noodle.
This time, they cut it for us.
And we got the mushroom filling.
I want to compare the rice noodle roll
compared to the one we got before.
That's so chewy.
This is insane.
That's so good.
Carrot saltwater samosas.
That's crazy.
Let's try it.
The outside is chewy on the inside.
There's like a fillet inside.
More creative.
The texture is more real.
But the taste of it is still very mild.
Like my soup dumpling.
We need to get some cash.
And let's just pray that I actually get some cash out.
Because coming here, I didn't bring enough cash with me.
Because I didn't expect how cash heavy it is here.
Because my credit card has just been getting declined.
I don't know why.
So let's just do this, okay?
Okay, let's pray.
Oh my god, please, please, please.
If this doesn't go through, I have no money.
I like live off of my Apple Pay and my credit cards.
So guys, this is not a joke.
All right, come on, guys.
Come on, come on.
Oh wait, I think it worked.
Yay!
Last time I did this, I got 2k.
And then I tried to get another 2k.
They wouldn't let me.
They said, you exceeded your daily.
Wait, what is my credit limit?
Let me try 2,000.
Hold on, hold on.
Currently at IKEA.
I've never been to IKEA in Hong Kong before.
And in the food court, they have so many food items.
They literally have fro-yo.
Anyways, so we came here because I need to buy one thing.
A lint roller.
I'm wearing like my black wool coat.
And it was like having lint.
So I want to come down here to get lint rollers.
And y'all, look at this.
I have pistachio beans.
Oh, this is insane.
And are these fresh baked bread too?
Crazy.
What the hell?
So I think it's somewhere.
Oh, it's just next to it.
Oh my god.
Oh yay.
So glad we have it.
This is what I was looking for.
It's 790.
That's like one US dollar.
And it's like the perfect size.
I think I told you guys I canceled all my trips last minute.
I originally wanted to do an Asia trip for like a month.
And so guess what I just did?
Literally, I woke up at 7am this morning.
I booked like a bunch of hanoks.
Because for those who remember, last time I went to Korea, I loved the hanoks.
But I booked it at the bad time.
And all of them are booked out.
This time, I booked so many different ones.
And yeah, I'm gonna go to Korea for a month.
That's the vibes.
Let's go.
Try yo mama.
Okay.
Let's go try yo mama.
Okay.
Oh, it's cross.
Should we cross over there?
Yeah, jaywalking is not a thing.
Okay, people do jaywalk.
But it's just not as encouraged compared to like in New York.
Apparently, they fine you a lot of money.
I'm so excited.
But low-key, I kind of forgot how the other fro-yo has tasted.
The weather's been kind of inconsistent.
It's been changing a lot.
Yesterday, it was like kind of cold.
And this morning, it's like a bit warmer but still kind of-
Something about Hong Kong is that there's so many, so many malls.
They have Sephora.
They also opened a Cosme.
So you don't need to bring makeup if you don't want to.
It was like two seconds.
I do feel like a lot of malls, they get very modern.
And Hong Kong gives me a very like retro vibe.
I don't know how to explain it.
And I kind of like it.
It's like I notice the buses.
Like it's the color.
Like this feels like something in like early 2000.
Guys, we're here.
These are the three flavors, guys.
Okay, we got an irregular, original with pandan mochi.
It was crazy.
They had pandan mochi.
I want to try the pandan first.
It's so chewy.
Guys, this is so good.
Remember the other fro-yo I tried at noon?
But this pandan mochi, insane.
Never seen a flavor like that.
And I think this is like 45 Hong Kong dollars.
That's like $6, $60 US dollars.
I'm definitely getting this again, guys.
It's so yummy.
Are we even surprised?
I overpacked.
So you can bet I didn't really shop much at all during my trip.
But I did grab a few pieces from that shop we just saw.
Because since we're going to Korea, it was freezing cold.
And also, spoiler alert, it's freezing cold.
It was so cold.
Anyways, I decided to come to another park right here.
And this place was like separated from the inside stalls.
This is the Victoria Park.
We're currently walking through it.
This place here has like a bunch of stalls.
But you have to buy tickets to actually go in.
So I decided to take some more photo, little fit pictures.
Because I'm like, if I'm traveling, I need my fit to eat.
And then I got my first pair of Asics.
We have these now.
This was like on the model with like the black design.
These, I love.
These are so beautiful with like the little...
Oh my god, these are so freaking comfortable.
Because I don't know what I was thinking.
I did not bring a pair of sneakers with me on this trip.
And then I came to this really cute boutique store in the mall.
And I picked out so many good pieces.
And that was Levi's with the jeans.
And this is Kos.
Oh my god, I don't know if Kos in Hong Kong just has better pieces.
But I also picked up so many pieces.
And guys, you guys need to come here if you're vegan or vegetarian.
This is one of the best vegan spots I've had.
Honestly, dare I say.
This might have been the best vegan Vietnamese food I've had.
I don't know if they do like a Thai and Vietnamese like fusion at the store.
Correct me if I'm wrong in the comments.
But this was so good.
And you know what?
Three minutes away from my hotel room.
I'm not gonna lie, not the biggest fan of my hotel room.
Because it's like the walls are dark.
I don't know if you saw.
But anyways, this is the next day.
I decided to do my laundry here.
And laundry here is free.
However, you do have to pay.
I think like 10 Hong Kong dollars for the detergent.
So you could bring your own.
And I came here.
This is also super close to my hotel.
Damn.
And we got a little ricotta toast.
Because I craved a little ricotta toast.
So I'm gonna get that.
And I eat so fast guys.
I literally think I ate this within like a few minutes.
Like if you ever eat with me.
You would know that I'm such a fast eater.
Then came back for my laundry.
And for the drying part, it took an hour.
But I left a note saying that.
If my stuff is still in there by the time.
Like if I'm not back.
My stuff is still in there.
Feel free to take it out.
But the staff member told me that.
They usually just put in baskets.
Which was very sweet of them.
Because usually if you don't touch it.
Nobody else is gonna touch your clothes.
And so it will just be left in there.
So I thought that was really nice of them.
And so I came back.
And let's do a quick debrief now.
Good morning.
We just got back.
I got a quick little breakfast around the hotel.
Honestly around this area.
Has like a lot of spot.
Like the one that I went to yesterday last night.
It was like that Vietnamese spot.
I don't know if they make everything vegetarian.
But it was really really good.
I was like I can't believe it's a three minute walk away from.
But to be fair.
I do think that a lot of places here.
They open around 11 30.
You'll still be able to find breakfast.
But a lot of spots here.
They open at 11 30.
Which is kind of crazy.
I also did some immense shopping the other day.
Let's just have a little chit chat.
I feel like I haven't like caught you guys up on some stuff.
Basically what happened is that.
Today is going to be my last official day in Hong Kong.
Well I'm still going to be in Hong Kong.
It's just that I'll be in Shenzhen.
So for those who don't know.
Like Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Like I'll have to cross the border.
Go into mainland China.
And so you can bet.
That there's going to be a China vlog very soon.
I'm so excited.
I've never been to Shenzhen.
Coming from the States.
It's so crazy to me.
That you can just cross like the border.
Go to different countries by a train.
Like the last time I did that was in Europe.
Which was kind of crazy.
But today the plan is that we are going to a park.
Because I think for the past three days.
I think I got a taste of Hong Kong.
I think it's starting to grow on me.
Because for me it takes me a few days to like a place.
And I'm kind of like getting to know my neighborhood.
I see what there is.
I see like parks and communities.
And I really like the community here.
People here are really really nice.
Like I think people have instant ramen for breakfast.
Which is so crazy to me.
But there's also different sorts of breakfast as well.
I think that they do a really good job.
With like other cuisines of food.
Which is really cool actually.
Sometimes when I go to other countries.
And I try to order like other country sort of cuisines.
Which I don't know why I do that.
Because if I'm at a country.
I might as well just eat what they have right.
But sometimes I want to test it out.
They're usually not that good.
But in Hong Kong.
So far from my experience.
They're pretty decent.
I'm like damn.
Anyways.
So the weather today is beautiful.
The weather now isn't like hot.
But it's like cool.
Liang liang de.
You know.
So we're gonna go to a park today.
We're gonna probably take an Uber.
Tomorrow I'm gonna be switching hotels as well.
So in the next vlog.
That you're gonna see.
I'll be in a new hotel.
And also in my bag.
I just found a stack of cash.
For those who don't know.
I didn't bring enough cash with me.
The thing is that I always bring a lot of cash.
Because my credit card wouldn't go through.
Because sometimes my credit card just acts up.
And look at that.
I have.
Yeah.
I'm like yes.
Because I was so scared.
I can't pay for ----.
Because remember on the first day.
My thing kept getting declined.
I'll stay like a ******* idiot.
I was like I have no cash.
My card isn't working.
What the **** do I do?
And so honestly.
I was gonna just like not shop at all.
And just freeze to death in Korea.
Or just buy the sweaters and everything in Korea.
So for those who don't know.
I'm going to Korea.
Might stay in Korea for a month.
Or I might just cancel everything last midnight again.
Who the **** knows.
We're gonna go to the park now.
Are you guys excited?
Hopefully you guys are.
I'm not gonna bring my camera.
Okay I'm not gonna bring you.
I don't know if you noticed.
A lot of footage I've been filming.
Has been on my iPhone camera.
It's just like sometimes my bag is so tiny.
That I'm just like you know what.
I'm just gonna film with my iPhone.
I finished this book literally within one sitting okay.
I really recommend you guys to get this book.
Like I plan on ordering it on Amazon.
Because I was like why is she in my head?
Like that book was really really good.
And so we decided to go on.
I think this was a 30 minute or one hour Uber ride.
I cannot remember.
But we came to this like park far from the city.
And they had a barbecue site.
Like they literally had like these little stove.
It's like stone stovetops made for barbecuing.
So people can just like you know cook stuff.
And it was so cute seeing like these aunties like just dancing.
I'm just like I love community.
Like when I see community it makes me so happy.
And I think it's just very very common in Asian countries.
Compared to in the states.
And it was just nice to look at the.
Is that the ocean?
I think that's the ocean right.
You could like blue water.
And people putting kites.
It just makes me happy.
And guys this little thing right here.
Okay don't call me a pussy.
But this was spooky scary.
Like you don't get it.
Like when you're on there.
Anyways guys.
I cannot believe I'm on this trail.
This trail took me 30 minutes.
And actually it was kind of scary okay.
Because it took me 30 minutes.
But if you don't take breaks.
It might just take you 20 minutes.
And there were places where there was no stairs.
Just pebbles.
So I was really scared that I might fall.
But turns out it was fine.
But yeah I would recommend you guys doing this.
If you're the type that likes to do.
A quick little stair master moment.
Okay let's go.
That's literally where we were before.
That's crazy.
We're so high up guys.
Look at that.
I literally think there's a guy.
Oh my god there's literally a person standing over there.
This just goes to show you.
When you climb a mountain.
Don't care about how high it is.
Just focus on your next step.
Focus on the present.
I asked a lady two minutes ago.
I was like are we there yet?
And she was like we're almost there.
It's not too high up.
There's no stairs right now.
So I think we're pretty much close.
My assistant.
She was gonna come with you.
I think she came with me.
When we realized it was really long.
She's waiting for me down there.
Wait oh my god.
Wait I think we see.
I see it now.
I see the path.
Wait do you see that?
I think it's all the way up there.
Do you see that?
I'm almost there.
Oh you see all the buildings.
And wearing gray right now is such a bad decision.
Because you can see my pit stains.
It's disgusting.
Anyway I'll see you at the top.
This was like the place where I was pointing upwards.
But we ******* made it.
Now I'm kind of scared to go downhill.
There's like another path over there.
But I think we're okay now.
I'm just gonna go down myself.
And hopefully I don't trip.
Going down is scarier than coming up.
But we got this.
I'll see you down there okay.
So much snacks we're gonna try at the park.
Thank you.
It's banana in there.
Oh it's so easy to press down.
Oh my god.
I never had banana in rice before.
It's so chewy.
They have two flavors.
One is banana and the other is taro.
It's less than one US dollar guys.
We couldn't find seats so we're sitting like here.
Everyone's like sitting somewhere on the grass so it's fine.
We don't look too weird.
But this is made out of coconut.
Looks like a little sushi roll.
Look at that.
That's so cute.
It's rice.
Oh my god.
That's so good.
There's usually rice on the bottom.
That's insane.
We got pandan pudding.
This is very similar to some of the stuff I had in New York.
But the bottom part is very soft.
Because usually like the green part it's very hard from the ones I've had.
But this is really good.
It's like kind of salty too which is very interesting.
Coconut cake.
Coconut sticky cake.
Chewy cake yeah.
Did say that don't put this in the fridge.
It's really nice but it's not as chewy as this one.
We just ate this one.
This is like a kind of like a mochi consistency.
This one is more sticky rice.
This one is more like yellow.
It doesn't feel like rice.
It's good though.
Pandan taste is very light.
You just eat here and just look.
Like you just see people.
You see the view.
It's nice.
Not too hot.
A few people biking behind us.
Oh my gosh.
She's wearing a little Christmas tree.
That's so f***ing cute.
Yo the mango is so ripe.
I think this is an entire mango.
I've never seen mango sticky rice where they give you this much.
I do think that you should order this in a restaurant.
The rice is kind of cold.
I do think that this will taste better if you pop it in the microwave.
But this is very juicy.
And considering the size of this.
They give you more mango than rice.
Which is crazy.
This is only like a portion of it.
They have so many different snacks.
I was like asking like what is this?
What is that?
I think my favorite was definitely coconut with the corn on top.
But apparently inside is not rice.
It's like a mini tapioca ball.
Sago, sago, sago.
It's not rice.
It's sago which makes it even better.
That was the best.
Also everything was really good.
I don't know what to do.
I can't get my feet off the ground.
Oh that hurts my arm.
I don't want to do that anymore.
That actually hurt my arm.
Okay, I kid you not.
Literally right when the vlog ended.
I decided to get a Thai massage, okay.
Like I get massages in New York.
And I have like this one place I really like, okay.
And usually I can't find a good massage place.
It's like very much a gamble.
Because you don't really know how the place will be until you go in there.
And y'all I kid you not.
This Thai massage I got.
I think it literally healed my back pain.
So for those who don't know like with Thai massage.
It's like they step on you, okay.
And they also um stretch you.
Like that sounds, that sounds.
But you know what I mean.
I can hear my like my back like the bone crack.
She like held me back and she cracked my back.
And for those who don't know like I have like back pain.
My back pain has gone worse like in the last few days.
I don't know if it's because the bed here is kind of too soft.
Sometimes when I stand really straight.
Or when I like try to make my back straighter.
It just kind of hurts.
Which is honestly not good I know.
But I kid you not after that.
She like twisted me too.
After that I was like oh my god this feels really good.
It like woke me up.
That's how insane it was.
It was like one hour and it was like 250 Hong Kong dollar.
It's like around 30 bucks for one hour.
Which is honestly pretty good compared to New York prices.
I would say that like it wasn't like as pleasurable I would say.
Because sometimes when I get a massage it feels really nice.
With that there's moments where it did hurt.
I'm not gonna lie.
Like when she pressed around my bone area.
Like near here.
I do feel like her pressure was kind of hard.
But it was fine.
It was me.
I just I just don't say things when I when I get a massage.
I'm just like that's like too much trouble.
I just want to zip it up.
This place I think Lana.
Lana.
I'll put the name here.
I'm not gonna lie.
Like when I saw the entrance I was like oh this is giving like a little scare.
Because it was like in an apartment and it was kind of dim.
I was like okay.
If I don't come out of here you know it is what it is.
But no it was fine.
I thought you have to ring the doorbell.
Because you're on like the second floor.
You just walk up the stairs.
Second or third floor I don't know.
But you just open the door.
It just opens.
It was really nice.
I highly recommend it.
And you guys have back pain.
We all have different sorts of back pain.
But at least for me it did help a lot.
So I really like the spot.
I've been using a lot of brow serums and eyelash serums.
Hold on before I put that on.
Getting my face to dry for a little bit.
I've been using like a hair thickening thing.
I feel like I need to put some serum to my hair.
I need to show some love to my hair.
You know what I mean?
Well today's not my last official day in Hong Kong.
Because I'll still be in Hong Kong for two days.
But next two days I'll be going to Shenzhen.
I'll be making two day trips into the city.
It's gonna be my first time crossing the border through train.
Which honestly I'm like really excited for.
But also a little scared because I don't know how it works.
So yeah this is basically an end to my Hong Kong journey.
All I have to say is that everyone's super super nice okay.
You know everyone's really nice.
I just didn't get any like bad experience.
People are really friendly.
People mainly speak Cantonese.
But most people understand Mandarin English.
And it's honestly one of the most diverse Asian country I've been to.
Like I just see all sorts of people.
Like it's not just like oh people who speak Cantonese you know.
I do think they also do a really good job with all different sorts of cuisines.
Like it's not just like oh Hong Kong cuisine.
That's the only thing they're good at.
They're really good at other cuisines as well.
Which is very shocking to me.
Because I've been to Asian countries.
And like sometimes I just feel like they don't do other Asian cuisines as well.
You know what I mean?
I do feel like this city it does remind me a bit of New York.
Like here it's definitely safer.
Public transportation is a lot cleaner.
It's definitely a lot more densely populated though.
Sometimes it does get a little bit over stimulating for me.
But yeah I think like me getting accustomed to like my neighborhood made me happy.
I was like oh wow I can just do x-rays and just walk around.
But yeah I am ready to go to bed now.
And I just want to say thank you guys for joining me on this journey.
This is literally my first time in Hong Kong.
Will we be back?
I don't know.
I'm gonna tomorrow check out this hotel.
And then we're just gonna go straight to Shenzhen.
And hopefully that all goes according to plan.
Anyways I hope you guys also had fun watching this.
And maybe this encouraged you to come to Hong Kong.
It's honestly really really nice.
And I will see you guys all very very soon okay.
Until then have an amazing amazing rest of your day.
And I will see you guys in Shenzhen.
Okay bye guys!
Goodnight!
