RSPB RESERVE LOCH SPYNIE
Kingfishers are small and fast moving and can be hard to spot. Somewhere in size between a robin and a starling, they are unmistakable with their bright blue and orange colouring. The male has an entirely black bill, while the female has an orangey-red lower half. (she wears lipstick!). Common throughout the UK, with the Moray Firth being near the extent of their northern range.
