Once again, on behalf of my mother, Senator Aimee, on behalf of Jamie, my wife,
thank you for joining us.
Each of you is here because you have played a part in our little story.
Today, we gather in the presence of God to celebrate the Holy Eucharist
and to offer thanksgiving for the gift of love bestowed upon Vice-Governor Matthew Marcos Manoto
and Miss Jamie del Rosario Herrera.
In this sacred liturgy, they come before the Lord and his people
to express their gratitude for the grace they have received
through the sacrament of the holy matrimony,
a covenant not merely of human promise, but of divine grace.
Jamie, I'm very proud of you as a brother.
Ever since you met Matthew, one thing I really did notice,
he has brought the best out of you.
I have never seen such a really beautiful outcome.
Jamie, I am so proud of what you have become.
And if your dad was here right now, he would be the most proud father in the universe.
Vice-Governor and Madam Jamie, you have said yes, not only mutually,
but you have said yes to loving the Lord in your love for one another as husband and wife.
Marriage consent focuses on what you will do
to conform, to honor, to protect, to forsake others, to be faithful until death.
Jamie, thank you for accepting our oversized bunso.
Welcome to the family. You're completely stuck with us now.
We love you guys so much.
I am certain you will face your new life with enthusiasm and great success.
