SHEEP TRAIL PART 1 _ Moving 10,000 Sheep Through the Mountains — You Have to See This!!!

In this episode of Discover Ag: On the Road, we take you behind the scenes of one of Montana’s most iconic traditions: SHEEP TRAIL.

First up, we visit the ranch headquarters of DuckWorth - a direct to consumer wool company where we gear up in fresh wool clothing, and meet the ranching family who makes this all possible - the Helle's.

You’ll hear from the incredible matriarch, Aggie, as she shares what it really takes to move thousands of sheep across rugged wilderness. We also set up camp under Montana’s big skies, gather around the fire, and share our very first meal of lamb cooked over open flames — a reminder of the deep connection between food, land, and the people who make it all happen.

From loading gear and supplies to preparing for life on the trail, we experience the first steps of this once-in-a-lifetime journey.
