Kids have fun in the snow in Bucks County
#winterstorm #snow #pennsylvania #fyp
Majority of schools in our area were closed today because of the snowstorm, and this meant
kids had a chance to go outside and build a snowman and go sledding.
Action News reporter Cheyenne Corrine has the details from Percocet, Bucks County.
Students at Penridge School District today, they had an old-fashioned snow day with absolutely
no learning happening today in Percocet.
We're actually behind some of the school's buildings.
They call this area Championship Hill, but this challenge nor the cold weather stopped
families from having fun in the snow today.
We're actually going to have fun with our friend and sled.
The to-do list for kids in Bucks County is very short and simple today.
Enjoy the snow day and being all from school.
Yesterday was like raining hard, but it was like fluffy, so it wasn't like a good pack
of snow.
But kids in Doylestown say today is perfect for sledding down the hills and playing in
the snow despite the freezing temperature.
My face is a little cold, but pretty much the rest of my body is pretty warm.
For this household, it was a double win today.
No school and no work.
Just trying to have fun outside in the snow with the kids since work's closed and school's
closed.
But it was far from a complete day off for this dad of two responsible for digging the
family out.
I did one round last night and then like midday and then I did another this morning.
The ice on the top made it a little bit tough, but we used the snow blower.
It was pretty crazy.
We had to go out and shovel three different times to get ourselves out today.
In Quaker Town, shoveling was an all hands on deck operation, including this little guy.
Meanwhile, others still need some time warming up to the white stuff.
This one is just a smattering of emotions.
A lot of highs, a lot of lows.
So she seems to like it on the slope, but not so much when you're going up.
As you can see, the kids here in Percocet, they are having a blast.
This is such a popular area behind the middle and high school that they made an announcement
saying that you are able to come out and enjoy the hills.
They just are asking that if you live close by and you're able to walk, to please do that
so that they can continue to clear the school's parking lots.
We're in Percocet.

Sledding still on my list.
Yes, you have not done it.
I still haven't done it.
She's from the South and she has yet to try sledding, so hopefully this week.
We'll see.
