In this video I'm going to show you how to make an easier mini grill.
You won't need special brackets, hinges, handles, or have to mess with nuts and bolts.
All you will need is two aluminum bread pans, a wire clothes hanger,
sandpaper, a pair of pliers, and three small binder clips.
It will also be helpful to have a pocket knife or a multi-tool.
Align the two bread pans like a clamshell and cut two small slits inside the outer edge, like this.
Insert the binder clips through the holes from below.
Attach the third clip on the front edge of the lid to make a handle.
Now take your hanger and straighten it out like this.
Using a piece of sandpaper, rub the protective coating off of the wire.
We will now make the grilling surface by bending the straightened wire into a zigzag shape.
Measure to make sure the grill will fit inside the flange of the lower bread pan.
Cut a few ventilation holes in the lower pan so the coals can breathe,
and a couple more in the lid so the smoke can escape.
This mini grill should comfortably hold three charcoal briquettes.
Before striking up the grill, make sure it is on a heat-resistant surface.
Although this mini grill is small, it will get extremely hot, so be careful.
Once the coals are hot, you're ready to grill.
Looks like my veggie dog got a little too hot.
This mini grill could handle two or three hot dogs at once, and it's great for veggies too.
