The story of the Turkish film begins in London, where a tribute ceremony is being held in a large hall for the surgeon John, who is being awarded the position of President of the International Society of Neurosurgery. Although he is still young, and the next day, John returns to Turkey and arrives at his home, then he takes a shower, gets dressed and packs his suitcase because he will be travelling once again. John gets ready to go out, but he waits a long time for the elevator, then decides to take the stairs because he is in a hurry. Zeynep was in the elevator because she works as a housekeeper in John's apartment, but they do not see each other because they are both busy. Zeynep finds a sheet of paper on which John had written his requests, then John appears at the hospital where he is holding a meeting with the doctors to get their opinions on performing a risky operation, and the opinions are divided. Director Belinda confirms that her opinion aligns with Dr. John's, and the way they look at each other shows that they... And at the end of the meeting, Belinda congratulates John on his new position and tells him that they will celebrate it at the same time as the 25th anniversary of the hospital's founding. But John apologises, as he has a conference in Baku and must go to the airport immediately, but his friend Tufan notices that he is trying to avoid Belinda. John heads to the airport, but a phone call brings him back in a hurry for a critical and urgent operation. He then arrives at the hospital to successfully perform the procedure, while the other doctors observe the operation to benefit from his experience. We move on to Zeynep's sister, named Elif, who tries to open the door to their apartment and discovers that the landlord has changed the lock due to unpaid rent. She then angrily calls her sister and tells her that she will spend the whole night at her friend's place. She asks Zeynep where she will sleep, but Zeynep reassures her, saying she'll manage, and apologises to her. After the surgery at the hospital is over, Belinda stays by John's side, happy that he hasn't left, and that he will attend the party. But John seems uncomfortable around her. Then he goes for a walk with Tufan and tells him that Belinda is not the girl of his dreams. So, Tufan suggests bringing a pretty girl to the party to keep Belinda away without hurting her feelings. John returns home and is surprised to find Zeynep asleep on the couch, even though he doesn't even know her. John takes a photo of Zeynep and sends it to his assistant Salma, who tells him that it's Zeynep, the cleaning lady who has been working in his apartment for four months. And the next morning, John makes noise in the living room to wake up Zeynep, who gets up confused. And John asks her why she slept in his apartment. Zeynep explains to him that the landlord of the house where she lives changed the lock because she hadn't paid the rent. John believes her and asks her how much the rent is. John remembers Tufan's suggestion, who had advised him to bring a pretty girl with him to the party to keep Belinda away. Zeynep agrees to accompany him to the party for two hours in exchange for her rent being paid. Zeynep is surprised by his offer, and before giving her answer, she hands him some medical test results and asks for his opinion when he has time because the doctors told her the patient's condition is hopeless. So John takes the test results and promises to look them over. At the hospital, John meets Tufan and tells him that he will be bringing a beautiful girl to the party. Meanwhile, Zeynep leaves John's house and gets into a private car that takes her to a famous stylist whom John has asked to pick out a dress for her, and then she is taken to a hair salon to get a new hairstyle. And at the party, John arrives and greets the host Hamdi and his wife Gulgul, who ask him if he has come alone. John replies that his beloved will be arriving soon. Zeynep arrives, looking absolutely stunning, and John takes her with him and asks her to call him without any titles, then introduces her to the hosts as the owner of a Turkish company. Cleaning and disinfection and the signs of jealousy are obvious in Belinda as she watches them. John introduces Zeynep to his friend Tufan, who invites her for a drink and to dance. Then Gulgul interrupts them and introduces Zeynep to a friend who has opened a new hospital and needs cleaning services. At the friend's table, the man asks Zeynep about her business, but John shows up at just the right moment and saves the situation. Then the music starts, and Tufan dances with Zeynep and drinks a lot. Then John worries that Zeynep might get drunk too and behave badly, so he takes the glass from her and dances with her himself, while Belinda's jealousy grows. At the end of the party, John and Zeynep board a private plane with Hamdi and his wife. Zeynep expresses her amazement as she has never been on a plane before, and when the flight attendant asks her to fasten her seatbelt, Zeynep doesn't know how to do it. So John helps her, and the couple notices their odd behavior because their relationship. Supposed to be old, Zeynep is afraid of flying and John decides to hold her hand while they wait for the plane to land. And after they arrive at the villa, John apologizes to Zeynep because things went beyond the agreement they had, but she seems happy about what happened. John opens the window for Zeynep, who gazes at the beautiful scenery, takes a deep breath, and feels at peace. John offers her the bed to sleep on while he will sleep in the garden, but Zeynep refuses because she senses that he is exhausted. John thanks her, goes out onto the balcony, and when he comes back, he finds Zeynep already asleep. Then he changes his clothes and falls asleep as well. And the next morning, John wakes up and doesn't find Zeynep, so he quickly goes downstairs to look for her. Hamdi and his wife inform John that Zeynep is in the garden. So he goes there, and Zeynep gives him some useful herbs she picked, explaining that she avoided sitting with Hamdi and his wife out of shyness. John apologizes to her, then tells her that he has reviewed the test results and discovered that the tumor is rare and malignant, and that the operation is very dangerous due to the risk of the patient dying and that she might not live more than three months. Zeynep is in shock and seems distressed, but John asks her for the identity of the patient, and Zeynep tells him that the patient is her neighbor and childhood friend. Both of them return to Hamdi and his wife, who have prepared a yacht for breakfast in the middle of the sea. John buys a ring for Zeynep as a gift, and after their walk, they sit in a cafe overlooking a beautiful view, and an old house in the distance catches Zeynep's attention. She points to it with her hands, saying it's very beautiful. John thinks the location is splendid, but the house is old, so Zeynep replies that it just needs some care in the garden, and it seems that John has become impressed by Zeynep and asks her to talk about her life. Zeynep tells him that her parents have passed away, and that she lives with her ambitious sister, Elif. She is studying engineering, and she is covering the costs of her studies herself. And at dinner, Zeynep prepares the meal with the herbs she picked. Everyone enjoys the food and thanks her. Gulgun tells Zeynep that her friend, who owns a hospital, called her today and wants to meet her so she can supervise the cleaning of the new hospital. John tries to end the conversation, but Zeynep is fed up with the lies. Zeynep surprises everyone by telling them that she doesn't own any business, because she is simply an ordinary cleaning lady. Everyone is stunned after hearing the truth, while Zeynep withdraws to her room, but John follows her and apologizes for putting her in an embarrassing situation, assuring her that they will leave the next morning. And as he leaves, John sits down with Hamdi to discuss the details of a new work contract. And before leaving, Hamdi advises him not to upset that kind young woman, referring to Zeynep. The next morning, everyone returns to their own city, and John tells Zeynep that the driver will take her home, while he will go to the hospital with Hamdi and his wife. So, Zeynep agrees and tells him that she will come tomorrow to clean his apartment as usual. Then, Zeynep arrives home, and her curious neighbor greets her, wanting to know all the details of her life. So, Zeynep tells her what happened and shows her the ring that John gave her. The neighbor is shocked and thinks that John proposed to her. Zeynep laughs and explains to her neighbor that she is not John's type, and that the ring is simply a gift. The neighbor asks her about the test results, and Zeynep replies that John confirmed what the doctors had already told her. Meanwhile, Elif comes back happy because she got a job opportunity in America. We move on to John, who is at the hospital, and he seems to have become nervous and his behavior has changed towards the staff, who are surprised by this. In the evening, John returned to his apartment, then was surprised by the arrival of his driver, who handed him the herbs that Zeynep had forgotten in the car, while Zeynep was sitting with her neighbor, who warned her of the need to inform Elif about what was happening to her. But Zeynep wants not to tell her sister the truth until a week after her final project is over, so as not to worry her. John calls Zeynep and asks her how to cook the herbs, because 21 minutes have passed, and he is trying to prepare them without success. The herbs suddenly explode, so Zeynep hears the noise and feels worried for him, and John seems pleased by her concern. He reassures her by saying that he is fine, and that only the kitchen has been messed up, so Zeynep promises him that she will come in the morning to clean up, and in the morning, Zeynep arrives at John's apartment and starts cleaning, and John offers to help her, and it becomes clear that both of them are starting to develop romantic feelings for each other. In the evening, Belinda visits John at his apartment under the pretense of helping him write an article, and she tries to get his attention by any means possible. So John sends a message to Salma, asking her to call him soon and pretend that he has to go to the hospital, which actually happens, and John asks Belinda for permission and leaves. But Belinda waits for him all night in his apartment, and he doesn't come back, and in the morning, Belinda places her clothes on John's bed, writes a love letter, and leaves it on the dress before leaving the room. Before Belinda left the house, she met Zeynep at the door and informed her that John was at the hospital, asking her to take her time cleaning the house. Then she hinted to her that she had learned from Gulgun that Zeynep was just a simple cleaning lady. Then Belinda left, and Zeynep was deeply upset by the way she spoke to her, and she went into John's room where she found Belinda's clothes and the letter she had left for him. Zeynep delighted in the smell of the rain, and asked John to take a deep breath and savor it, so that he would remember her every time a similar rain fell. And John kept thinking about the surgery, and couldn't bear to be apart from Zeynep, not even for a moment. In the morning, John told Zeynep that he had found a solution, that he had pictured the operation in his mind for a long time, and believed it would succeed, and he asked her to let him perform it. Then, we see him at the hospital with his friend Tufan, studying Zeynep's x-rays, and Tufan assures him that the operation is impossible. But John stands by his opinion, and says that he can do it in a way that's different from usual, and that if they don't act quickly, they will lose Zeynep. Tufan's anger rose when he saw John's stubbornness about performing the operation, and he told him that what he was considering was a major risk that could cost Zeynep her life. John ignored Tufan's words, and asked for his help, but Tufan refused, saying that he couldn't change fate. And at home, Zeynep told her sister Elif the whole truth about her illness. Elif broke down in tears, and reproached her sister for hiding her illness from her, saying that she couldn't live without her. Then, Zeynep reassured her by saying that John could perform the operation for her, and Elif asked them not to give up. John then returned to the meeting at the hospital to explain Zeynep's case to the doctors, but they refused to perform the operation because of its risks. So John got angry and left the meeting. At the same time, Zeynep was preparing for the surgery at the hospital, and her sister stood by her side, reassuring her by saying that she would come back better than before. Then John came in and informed Zeynep that the operating room was ready, and it was clear that Zeynep was not afraid. Quite the opposite. She reminded him of the promise he had made to her when she asked him to breathe in the scent of the heavy rain. John held back his tears and reassured her. Then he accompanied her to the operating room after lying to his team, telling them that a patient was suffering from severe hemorrhaging and needed immediate surgery. Everyone understood the truth and warned John that he was putting his future at risk. But John remained firm in his decision, and one of the doctors informed Belinda that John was performing the operation for Zeynep, despite the hospital management's refusal. Then, furious, Belinda called the operating room and told him that he was going against her decisions, and that if the operation failed, he would face severe punishment and bear full responsibility. But John paid no attention to her words and began the operation. Yet he hesitated. For a moment, he stepped out to reproach himself for his boldness, then gathered his courage, went back in, and explained to his assistants how to perform the surgical procedure on Zeynep. Tautfan warned him again and told him that what he was doing was a mistake. However, John was determined and confident in the success of the operation. And after a few hours spent in the operating room, Zeynep suffered a severe hemorrhage. Fear gripped everyone, but John located the bleeding and stopped it, and suddenly, Zeynep's heart stopped. Tautfan tried to resuscitate her, while John walked out devastated because he was about to lose Zeynep and there was nothing he could do. Meanwhile, Tautfan continued the resuscitation until he succeeded and Zeynep's pulse returned to normal. Three months later, John bought a ring for Zeynep. He took care of the old house he liked, tended its garden, and put up a swing there, just as Zeynep had wished, and he lived happily. John prepared breakfast while Zeynep took care of the flowers. Then, John went out to buy groceries and left Zeynep at home. Suddenly, while she was on the swing, a torrential rain began to fall, and Zeynep died on the swing, with the rain streaming down her face. And at that moment, Khan was returning home in the rain and remembered the promise he had made to Zeynep.
