Welcome back fellow crafters. Today we will be making this afternoon tea party serving platter
using the plate mold available in our etsy store. Here are the measurements of the three plate sizes
we will be creating with the mold. I have a video showing how to resize the plate images
available in the description below. I will just do a quick overview on how to make the plates.
I have a detailed tutorial video available in the description below. Glue three layers together
consisting of the printed design, tin foil and plain paper then cut it out. You can use a DIY
cardboard mold or the 3d printed version from our store. Make sure each plate is centered
in the mold before pressing. Apply mod podge for a shiny ceramic looking finish.
I used a hand drill to make a hole in the center of the plate. Repeat this for each plate.
I'm using earring hooks to connect the plates together. Use a pair of pliers to straighten
out the hook. Make sure to leave the top loop on. Now put one bead back on the piece and secure it
with instant glue. Now add the spring looking piece and glue the smallest plate on. Remove
two more spring pieces and one bead of another earring. Add them along with the middle plate
as shown. Repeat these steps for the biggest plate. Secure the bottom with instant glue
then use pliers to cut off the extra wire. To let the platter sit flat, cut out two pieces of
cereal box cardboard and glue to the bottom. If you have any problems making this project,
just reach out to me in the comments or on our socials listed in our channel description.
