Joshua Tree Landscapes

Landscapes to contemplate at Joshua Tree National Park.
I went deep into the desert.
I went deep into the landscape of my life.
I breathed the same desert air that the sky breathes,
that the cactus breathes,
that the sand breathes,
and the same earthy blue sky.
There were some birds and some flowers.
I was so far away from everything.
When the sun wore down on me,
I came back.
In the desert,
all distances were vast.
