Johann Thielemann (Tobias) Cramer
(Bittstedt, 1713 - Gotha, 1793)
German composer, performer, and music educator. Although biographical details remain scarce, he was primarily active in Gotha, where he established himself as a versatile musician, initially recognized as a soprano before maturing into a respected teacher and author. His creative output consists of instrumental and vocal works, most notably keyboard sonatas (primarily for the organ) that reflect the evolving stylistic trends of the mid-18th century. He was not related to the famous pianist and composer Johann Baptist Cramer.
