Selena is one beautiful soul, we need more people in the world like her
Hello everybody.
My name is Selene Gomez and I am doing something called the iHeartRadio Box.
Never done it before, don't know what's in it, so here we go.
Is this right?
Oh my god, this is heavy.
Okay.
Why?
I already posted these, I don't need to see it again.
Oh my teeth, man.
Alright, well, I don't know.
I have no words for this.
This is just another school photo.
I was a young'un, my teeth are growing in.
Actually my sister looks just like this now.
She's six and she's losing all her teeth and it's pretty adorable.
Yeah, life was good then, for sure.
Guess what this is?
I feel like everybody's tired of knowing that I'm Aunt Barney.
No, this was my life, this was my childhood.
I remember it feeling like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory because it was just so fun,
all the colors and the sets and it was just one of the best times of my life, honestly.
I still cry when I think about it.
Legend.
A legend.
I was named after her.
My dad and mom named me after her and actually my original name was going to be Priscilla
but my cousin took that name who's six months older than me and so we went with Selena and
I couldn't be more grateful because what an amazing person to be named after, for sure.
Another legend.
Facts on facts.
This is my first CD I ever bought, ever.
And it was this exact cover and I went to my first concert ever which was also Ms. Spears
and to this day, just come on, you gotta love Britney, always.
I'm assuming this has to do with my TV show but this does not look like my wand so I'm
going to set that down but once upon a time I was on a TV show called Wizards of Waverly
Place and it was a highlight of my life, I had the best time and just, yeah, everything
started from there so I didn't really know what I was getting myself into and I was pretty
shocked but it all ended well so far, knock on wood, whatever.
Yes.
Love, love, love, love, love.
This was such a fun experience.
My mom actually gave me the script and said she wanted me to do it and everyone kinda
gets shocked about that but it's because she actually, you know, she sat down and she
showed me all of Harmony's work and it just seemed like something, once I met Harmony
the director, it just felt like something so spot on and ever since then I've been looking
for a movie that even comes close to that, that feeling and that freedom that I was able
to have.
That was a good time and I love those girls and James is weird.
In a good way, sorry.
This is referencing 13 Reasons Why, right, everybody, it says 13.
Also not the real cassette tape but the whole idea was based on a book by Jay Asher that
my mom actually found, she got the rights from when I was maybe 16, 17, basically the
entire book centers around cassette tapes.
So it's her sharing her story and that's the way that she did it and it's actually great
that we kept it pretty authentic to the book because nowadays it's everything, right?
You can just put voice memos or, I don't know, leave videos, I don't know, but this was a
moment that I'll never forget.
Releasing what it's become, all of it, I couldn't be happier.
It's a hard conversation to have but I think a very important one to have.
I love being able to work with creative geniuses and work around what they believe in and just
be passionate about something.
That's for sure, I'll bring, that's like no doubt.
Okay, I've got an iPad, Apple, eh, cross play.
This video for Look at Her Now, we got to shoot it all on an iPhone.
I don't know if anyone knows that but everything that we did was on an iPhone so we had cameras
taped to the ceiling, on the floor, and we had a rig of like ten iPhones all working
at the same time.
So it was actually really cool because it's something that, you know, that's new, that's
never been done so being able to do that is pretty epic.
And it was, I mean, that whole day I just danced and I felt great and I was with my
friends and my Nan and Papa were there and it just felt, yeah, it's a good time, good
moment for me, love this moment.
So these, right, I've been into these for a very long time, however, I think it's changed.
I'm not quite sure I'm doing the Hot Cheetos anymore and I'm not quite sure what I'm gonna
replace it with yet, but it probably, probably something like sour.
The other day I went to my friend's house, the other day, yesterday, and I had, I had
gummy bears, Goobers, Raisinets, what else did I get, Sour Patch, and I felt like that's
the world I like, currently.
Last but not least, oh my god I can't pick this up, Tay, my girl Tay.
That was backstage after we performed at her concert, I believe we did Hands to Myself.
It was one of the first times I also got to see the tour, which was awesome, I'm super
proud.
She's obviously been in my life for over a decade and she's seen a lot that's gone on
and what's happened in my life, and she's always, she's always been there, she's never
gone anywhere, and I appreciate her friendship and her love very much.
So, all that said, that is iHeartRadio's box, and it was fun, it's very big, thank you.
