Learn How to Make Nonna Ernestina’s Traditional Lasagna

We love returning to grannies we’ve filmed before, and Ernestina welcomed us back as if no time had passed. She’s 83, lives in Castel Bolognese in the province of Ravenna, and this is lasagna is made exactly as she has always made it; she prefers to use just pork, not beef or a mixture of the two. We first filmed her a few years ago while she was preparing cannelloni, and coming back felt less like revisiting a subject and more like being welcomed back into a familiar kitchen.
