Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel or if you are new here for the first time then hello,
welcome. In today's video I am filming the third and final part to my redecorating after the
holiday series. We're going to be tackling our primary bedroom today starting with taking all
of the ornaments off of our tree. I have mentioned this ornament organizer from Balsam Hill. It is
an absolute lifesaver and I will never store ornaments another way. I'll have it linked below
for you with a few other options from Amazon if you guys are interested. I cannot believe that by
the time this video is going live it will be halfway through January. It is the 17th of January
when this video goes live and just thinking about that blows my mind. I cannot believe we are
already halfway through the month. 2025 flew by in a flash and I just know that the next probably
5, 10, even 20 years are probably just going to fly by so I'm really trying to soak in every moment
especially with our little babes here in our home. Coming up here really soon it will be a year that
we have gotten our first placement and had our little oldest babe here in our home. Like I've
mentioned before it's been the biggest blessing. It has been the hardest yet most rewarding thing
we've done but it's definitely taught us so so much and I would never in a million years regret
it. I still haven't sat down and written out my intentions for the year but I do plan on doing
that this weekend. I would love for you guys to let me know in the comments down below what some
of your intentions for 2026 is. I would love to hear them. To start I am going to take all of the
sheets off of our bed. I'm actually going to be changing out our comforter as well. I've had this
beautiful sage green quilt from Quince and it was just time to switch it back to the tan color.
The tan color is the dune color on Quince's website. I will have it linked down below for you.
I've mentioned it in my previous redecorating after the holiday videos that I'm just really
craving neutral light bright and airy for this new year and the lighter tan quilt just was giving
me those vibes a little more than the sage green one. I am going to take my vacuum and clean off
our accent wall and also behind our bed and under it. We have four animals if you didn't know so
the amount of animal hair in our home is a little disgusting so I'm also vacuuming the rug here in
our room and another thing that I would love to do in the new year is get a different rug for this
space. I feel like we have had it for the full four years that we have lived here in our home
and it is just due for a new one so hopefully I can find one that I love but I never look forward
to putting a new rug under the bed. It is a total chore. We have tried to get those furniture lifts
that everyone raves about from Amazon. We bought them and the first time we tried it they completely
broke so I don't know if our bed is just too heavy or what was going on but those did not work out
unfortunately so if you guys have any other tips for getting a new rug under a bed let me know
it down below. Typically what we do is just remove the mattress from the bed frame and then one of us
will hold up the bed frame when we put the new rug under it but it's a total workout and my husband
definitely is not a fan of the process. This gauzy quilt from Quince is one of my favorites I've ever
owned. The sage green quilt was the exact same type of quilt just in a different color. I think
I've mentioned this before but I'm going to mention it again. My husband and I actually do
not sleep with our comforter or quilt that we have on our bed. We fold it up and put it at the edge
of our bed on the bench. We sleep with our separate blankets and it has been an absolute game changer.
No more fighting over the blanket. I don't know why so many other couples don't do this but you'll
have to let me know in the comments below if you and your partner do this or if you guys still
share a blanket or comforter. This chunky knit throw at the end of our bed is from Target. It's
the Casaluna brand and they have a bunch of different colors. It's one of my best sellers
every single month so if you guys don't have one I highly recommend getting one. For the bench at
the foot of our bed I'm taking a coffee table book and this beautiful planter in rosemary bush
from Magnolia. Sadly it's not available anymore online but I will try to find something similar
if I can. Our oldest babe always puts our handprints all over the mirror which is absolutely
adorable but I thought it was finally time to wipe it down so I'm taking some glass cleaner
and just getting that wiped down so there's not a million smudges all over it. With how many dogs we
have I should dust and clean a little more than I do but when I redecorate I try to take everything
off of the surfaces and clean them down so I make sure that I'm getting all of the dust and pet hair
off of them. I didn't share doing this in this particular video but I have shared this little
tip in a few of my previous videos. If you do have pets in your home I highly recommend taking a lint
roller to the shade of your lamps. There is so much dust and pet hair that gets collected on
there and I've found taking the lint roller is so quick and takes all of the lint and pet hair off
of them. You can probably tell I'm keeping my decor super simple in the new year until I start
adding in some more spring touches. So once I get my nightstand cleaned off I'm just going to add in
a potted plant. I would say the beginning of March is when I will start incorporating more
spring touches. Now that is usually the time that I'm so over the cold weather and snow here in
Colorado so I crave those brighter spring touches but you'll have to let me know when you add in
spring decor to your home. For this reading nook I am going to keep the same chunky knitted throw
blanket from Quince. I do want to spend more time here reading. Hopefully I will get a little more
time to do that. I need to be more intentional to really making the time to when the girls are down
for their nap. When styling this accent chair I usually put two pillows on here but I wanted to
keep it a little more practical for actually sitting here and reading so I just kept it to
one throw pillow. I am bringing in our little side table and adding in some faux cosmos from
Walmart. That little vase is also from Walmart and I will have all of this linked in the description
below of course. The last place that we are going to tackle is our dresser. We recently added in a
frame tv from Samsung. If you missed it in my fall decorate with me's I shared with you how we added
this to our bedroom. Initially I wanted to add a fireplace in here but ended up adding it into our
basement downstairs instead. I probably could consolidate everything that's in this dresser
to fit into the closet but I just thought it was more practical to keep the dresser here so that I
did have more storage for my clothing that I just don't wear as often so I keep like my Christmas
pajamas, my thicker socks in here, just some extra overflow clothes so I decided to keep the dresser
in here and I don't have any regrets yet but you'll have to let me know if you think a fireplace would
look good in here. I am going to add in these beautiful new stems from Target. They do look
super unrealistic when you're up close but when you're far away I think they look pretty realistic
like you'll have to tell me in the comments below but I do like the color variation that they have
and they are pretty affordable. It does come in a grouping of two or three stems and I just have
four of them here I believe so I just bought two if that makes sense so I think there's either
four or six stems. I believe there's four though and then I'm just adding in all of my other usual
decor that I have here on my nightstand. Sadly I can't link a lot of this stuff but I will try
my hardest to link as much as I can and with that that is going to complete the last video in the
redecorating after the holidays series. I always love filming these for you and I can't wait for
you to come along for all of the videos I have to bring you in the new year. If you have any requests
as always leave them in the comments down below, subscribe if you haven't already, and give this
video a thumbs up. I'll have everything that I can linked in the description box down below along with
other social media accounts if you want to follow me over there and I'll see you in my next video. Bye!
