Our world has changed completely due to the many relations globalization has brought forth. One major change is the great increase in the number of those who identify as multicultural. Nina Udagawa is a senior in high school who though loving both her American and Japanese heritage, struggled with cultural identity crises. She will talk about the upcoming dilemmas likely to rise due to the high demand for representatives fully raised and racially from a certain region, and an increasingly multicultural world whereby people don’t have a strong sense of one ‘home’ country. The main idea ‘double, not half’ signifies the ideal way in which multicultural people will be able to label themselves.
